"Typical liberal idiot who never set foot in the real world. Every blind person I knew could tell our current bills apart by touch alone. Still, braille on the bills is a good idea."

My grandfather sure could. It took him a few minutes but I could give him 50's 20's 10's 5's and 1's in random amounts and mixed up and it would take him about 10 minutes but I could sit there and watch him sort them out. Darndest thing I ever say. And talk about a killer dominoes player!!! He had to feel the tiles but I played him Many Many games and never won a single one. He could also add and subtract in his head faster than I could on a 10 key calculator...

We are simply too reticent to impeach judges for being stupid. A stupid decision should be prima facia evidence for bad behavior and the person should be removed forthwith.

change the texture of the papers that make our bill system.

Print the one dollar bill on tissue paper.

Of course, the result of having your money strictly on the basis of precious metals means that the money supply can only expand as more metals are discovered, mined, refined and minted. The effect is deflationary as products chase a limited amount of money, people who have money don't spend it (because they'll get more from a desperate seller tomorrow) and counterfeiting becomes more attractive.

First, I disagree with your assertion. Second, we have laws. If people want to change them, there is a way. But that's not how it was done. Why do you think that "quarter" in your pocket has a thin nickel veneer? (Hint: It was so, when they were introduced, the unwashed wouldn't think them very different from real silver quarters. Look up counterfeit.)

The original Federal Reserve Notes weren't legal tender, but were redeemable ON DEMAND in GOLD. FDR changed that. He made them legal tender, and redeemable in "Lawful Money." Now they are redeemable in NOTHING. But you've been talked into thinking this is okay.

Money readers for the blind:

The blind also have special checkbooks with raised lines for writing checks on purchases, plus they use coins for small purchases and credit and debit cards for major purchases just like sighted people do.

Why not require talking money?

Money talks to me all the time. It says, "Buh, bye."

Canadian bills have had braille on them for quite a while now.

How do they do that?

I`m only kidding what I said. I had one blind guy last month, a retired judge (which fits him right in with the NY legal system) who was really in a foul mood. I tried to make small talk and he told me what he was, then I asked him some other question and he pretty much bit my head off, "I don`t wanna talk right now.. raaah!"

I don`t know if it was pissed because he recently became blind and was learning to cope with it or what, but daaaamn this guy give me hell. Every second asking me what street I was on like I was trying to take a long route and rip him off, teling me to slow down to a crawl which I realized later could have been because he wanted to hear where we were.

When I got to where he wanted to go, it came to something like $8 bucks and he wipped out this wad of bills and starts demanding what he had, so he starts flipping the bills and I told him what each bill was and he started accusing me of lying. So I told him, listen pal, don`t even bother paying me, just get out, and he went even MORE nuts!! Saying I was playing games with him, so get this; I asked him if he was a liberal judge as only a liberal Judge would be such an a-hole, so he got this confused look on his face and finally paid me EXACTLY $8 no tip or nothing! You know why he shut up? Because he WAS a liberal Judge! I was RIGHT! lol! I read him like a book (like there are any Conservative Judges here in the first place) and he slammed the door. My brother says it could be because I called him an asshole and he got scared, but I think it`s because I pegged him right down and he had no argument.

It's just a typical case of American blind justice, and there wasn't nothin' we could do about it... the judge wasn't gonna look at anything to make him change his mind!

I would challenge this Clinton appointee to show us the law he is referring to.

Here you go:

   TITLE 29 > CHAPTER 16 > SUBCHAPTER V > § 794

§ 794 Nondiscrimination under Federal grants and programs

(a) Promulgation of rules and regulations
No otherwise qualified individual with a disability in the United States, as defined in section 705 (20) of this title, shall, solely by reason of her or his disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any **program or activity** receiving Federal financial assistance or under any program or activity conducted by any Executive agency or by the United States Postal Service.
** The design, production and issuance of currency is apparently considered to be a “program or activity”.
