Meanwhile the MSM ignores press releases like this:

http://www.defenselink.mil/news/NewsArticle.aspx?ID=2216

"Coalition Kills 26 Insurgents in Iraq, Aids Anbar Tribe
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Nov. 26, 2006 – Coalition forces conducted several operations yesterday that resulted in the deaths of 26 insurgents, and supported an Iraqi tribe under attack by al Qaeda today, military officials in Iraq announced."

Very telling of what outcome the MSM wants when they print a classified 'report' that they will never have to divulge in full but ignore the real news. The MSM and the left do not want victory for the US, but defeat and humiliation. For some reason, these same people think the danger to their lives from our enemies is not real.... I had to deal with one last Thursday. She is my wife's aunt and stated that I wouldn't be around to spend my promotion pay as I'll be dead in Iraq (deploying soon). She just laughed derisively when I told her about the real dangers withing the USA and what will happen if the West loses the War on Terror.

I have to wonder about the sanity and mental acuity of the leftists and others who think the dangers of islamofascism are just a made up fantasy....

Excellent. This does not include the local Sunni and Shia terrorists. Those were just Al Qaeda terrorist. Iraq was the burial of Al Qeadea, they wanted to fight us in Iraq and it is in Iraq where we have been annihilating them. Iraq is the center front of the war on terror.

PS: This needs to be in the Breaking News section. Please ask the moderator to move it there.

OTOH, then they won't show up to vote. :)

Silly Republican, Democrat voters don't have to "show up" to vote. (They don't even have to be alive.)

7000! That's all! As our own loses approach 3,000 KIA!

That is unbelievable or unforgivable -- which is it?
That is a kill rate and kill ratio that is unsustainable.
We've been FAR too restrained in our actions - and our warriors are paying the price.

Hell, with far less technology and a military filled with draftees who really didn't want to be there -- we killed a Million combatants in Vietnam.

In the war against these Islamofacists - we need to be killing them on the order of WWII -- by the 100s of thousands or millions.

Those in the forum who constantly repeat that Iraq is not Vietnam are correct -- we killed more of the enemy, and the war was NOT lost while we fought it.. The South Vietnamese lost the war, AFTER we left.

I agree. Start using OVERWHELMING FORCE and we win everytime.

_____________

Yeah, what a concept, If I live to be 100 I'll never understand the way we've fought since Vietnam, the enemy is within.

Doesn't overwhelming force allow less of our guys to get killed? It seems our policy is better 100 soldiers die before we harm one "civilian". When countries screw up their civilians PAY THE PRICE and hopefully turn against the leaders who incurred the U.S. wrath, see WWII.

The Enemy Within has done a magnificent job of hamstringing this Country. It's worked on our Police Force, Border Patrol and Soldiers. Eventually, we will be backed into a corner and the only response we will have to get out of the corner, is to come out swinging with the dreaded Nuclear bomb. Sadly, I fear that terrorists and rogue nations will use one on us first.

Yes, apparently that's our new war posture, allowing Americans to get nuked before we have the "moral standing" to nuke them back.

I'd settle for full force conventional warfare. I doubt it will happen.

__________

That's what I thought we'd do too, but I also thought after 9/11 we would pass comprehensive immigration reform and seal the borders too.

There's 2 worlds.

1. Reality

2. The Media "Matrix", the Matrix is overwhelming reality.

I'd like to know how many of the 7,000 al Qaeda were killed and how many were only captured. There is a huge difference, as the Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib fiascoes remind us. When we capture these people, we're temporarily taking them out of the action, but also creating a new victim group for the Rats and the ACLU to represent. Sooner or later, we'll be forced to release them, or they'll escape, or something.

Add to that the number of Taliban.

At least in Nam, we bombed the enemy sanctuaries of Cambodia Laos and N. Vietnam, and that was with a democratic President! This President Bush, won't even shoot a spit ball at Iran or Syria. WHY IN THE WORLD NOT!!!!

THE situation is much worse than Nam, because....Vietnam wasn't trying to attain nukes

Iran may just buy a few from N. Korea any day now....stick them in the trunk of a car and have someone drive and park it next to the Green Zone in Baghdad.

Lets just -
Split Iraq in three, Declare Iraqi Freedom Attained, send the ground forces against Syria and send the nukes against Iran.....

or we can just wait for another 9/11....and while the President waits....we see that only for the 2nd time in the war has the coalition lost over 70 dead, for 3 consecutive months.

We can't afford to stand by and let our troops be treated this way. Let them loose to fight or get them out before they are nuked.

Now the ultimate question is how many foreign fighters have been killed in Iraq since 2003?
