Just heard on TV that with the new snow on the way, plus the mess it's created already, there will be school closures and the freeways are a parking lot.
There was one storm we had, I think it was in 1979 or 1980, when so many inches of snow fell in such a short time that people had to abandon their cars on the Interstates and walk. It was very dangerous. The stupid thing is that the Puget Sound cities won't invest in enough quality snowplowing equipment or get the plows and sand / salt out soon enough. They act like it's not going to happen again ... If they would face the situation the way the Midwesterners do, things wouldn't have to shut down so much when it snows here.
The other thing that makes it tricky here is that our snow tends to be very wet, and therefore, very heavy, snapping tree branches and causing power failures if it gets bad enough. Also makes it a real bear when night falls and it goes below freezing after the snow melted on the roads.
Hoping for a better outcome this time though.
This was last night after four inches had fallen. It is beautiful. snugs has seen this already.

Explanation accepted. Thanks for giving it.
Once again, I apologize for my misunderstanding and unkindness. I feel very guilty for the way I behaved here.

Yes, the eighteen foot tree is inside the Whitehouse and just short of touching the ceiling. Last year snugs sent me a DVD of "Christmas at The Whitehouse" and it showed them decorating the tree inside as well as all the other preparations such as decorative pastry. After I watched it I gave it to a friend who entertains a lot of children.

Snugs and all,
humblegunner is a dear friend of mine.
This photo is a gift for me which he created this weekend.
When I thanked him for it and mentioned that I might post it on the Dose thread, he asked me to please apologize to all of you for his comment the other day. (It got him banned for a few days.)
humble's a wonderful guy who just gets a little excited every once in a while when he's posting on FR.
I hope you all can find it in your hearts to give him a second chance.

Hi.. WONDERFUL PIX!!!!
I missed the posts from humblegunner as by the time I got there, they were all deleted!!!!
It seems men often get more "rowdy" & defensive at times. Maybe the good old testosterone that God gave them?
Well, I can easily accept the apology. He & Flyer often visited my Finest threads & were always fun & pleasant. We all have ornery days in life & we cannot be judged totally on the off days..
Tell him he has friends here.. Maybe some of them are POd at this point, but he can return & share with us. It seems most men don't have the same perspective as gals here on the thread but there are the twins & Laura to comment on..
This thread is THE THREAD for many of us but I am well aware how many think it is plain silly.

Dolly,
Thank you so much for your warm response! It will mean a lot to humble. And I agree about the testosterone! ;-)
Isn't the picture great? You should see the others... they're funny! This one was my request.... I want a t-shirt!
Thanks so much again -

hugs.
. I feel all at FR have potential to be my friends. I know I don't agree with many on many issues but do know there are many issues we do agree on & always try to find the good in people and most here are good.
I don't participate in the "heavy" threads as my life is so full of problems at this point, I need to protect my psyche as much as possible.. but am aware that there are so many hurt feelings & so many men & women that I KNOW that really jump out of character, as I normally know them on some of the threads. I am thankful some of my friends will protect the president.. he is not perfect & I don't agree with everything.. but I truly believe he is God's man for our country at this time. There has been so much good from his presidency.
I wish we could all just pull like we need to on the same side but realize also there are a lot of great minds & lots of agendas along the way. I wont truly ever understand it but I strive to learn more & be true to my own spirit & own soul in politics as well as other areas of life.
Yes, on the T-shirt. If Humble did that, he is good. I do a lot of pix editing but don't' to the head /body transplants... the cut/paste like that.. they are fun!
