Hi there Dolly.

We get snow here and there, now and then. Not every winter and usually not for long when it does come. Going by memory I'd say we probably get snow every other winter on average, or one winter in three maybe. This system is sweeping down from the Fraser River area in Canada so it's cold as well as snowy. We even had what is called thundersnow tonight = snow storm with thunder and lightning. There are some power outages.

The State Patrol shut down a chunk of Interstate 405 tonight -- very unusual, and they were looking at closing part of Interstate 5, which makes any north-south commute a bit of a pickle. They said the road was too hazardous to navigate.
