WASHINGTON COUNTY-- Parents of a marine accused in the November 2005 slayings of Iraqi civilians in Haditha are coming to their son’s defense.
Lance Corporal Justin Sharratt, 22, who lived in western Pennsylvania for a time, is one of several Marines under investigation. Now, his parents, who grew up in Washington County, say their son told them he followed the rules of engagement.
They say their son was raised a Catholic and knows the difference between right and wrong. The Sharratt’s also say they believe the Marines have abandoned those implicated in the killings.
They also blame U.S. Rep. John Murtha for prejudging the Marines allegedly involved in the incident on national television.
So far, Sharratt is not been charged.
The U.S. Marine Corp had no comment on this story.

I agree...Murtha has so tainted the waters on this whole thing it's beyond contempt. I'm sure the Devil has a place especially reserved for the "esteemed congressman".
The Pendleton 8 are going down for the Hamdaniya incident. Two have already pleaded guilty: Navy Petty Officer Melson Bacos and Marine Pfc. John J. Jodka.
Come back to reality! Maybe you don't know, two of the sanctified "Pendleton Eight" have pleaded guilty.
BTW, no one's sanctifying anyone. We want fair treatment--not a political prosecution. Is that so hard to grasp?

Murtha only wanted to turn public opinion against the war and is using grunts to do it. We'll see what comes out at the trial--if there ever is one. The DOD has been happy so far for a media lynching.

I really hopethey make murtha look the fool after they win their case- murtha may have served once, but he lost his patriotism a long long time ago
Every article 15 I was present for - as a witness, has typically a railroading as far NJP is concerned. As far as courts martial, most likely a special courts martial when a capital crime has been committed, the results are debateable, but in most cases, the officers still get a free pass. And they wash their hands of the whole affair.
