WASHINGTON COUNTY-- Parents of a marine accused in the November 2005 slayings of Iraqi civilians in Haditha are coming to their son’s defense.
Lance Corporal Justin Sharratt, 22, who lived in western Pennsylvania for a time, is one of several Marines under investigation. Now, his parents, who grew up in Washington County, say their son told them he followed the rules of engagement.
They say their son was raised a Catholic and knows the difference between right and wrong. The Sharratt’s also say they believe the Marines have abandoned those implicated in the killings.
They also blame U.S. Rep. John Murtha for prejudging the Marines allegedly involved in the incident on national television.
So far, Sharratt is not been charged.
The U.S. Marine Corp had no comment on this story.

The print press in the area is controlled by paleo-conservative gazillionaire Richard Mellon Scaiffe who wants us out of Iraq and so he backs Murtha all the way. It's great that local TV news is finally getting the other side of the story out.

I do prayerfully hope this family will be able to win enough trust in the local media to get their story out. Let the folks who voted for keeping Blurtha in and Diana out, end up realizing they made a terrible blunder this time around. And that for matter goes for the whole nation at large.

Bump, unc. We can only hope that Murtha gets more wounds from this story. It's excellent timing because the MSM turned against him during the battle for Majority Leader. And as much as the MSM loves a liberal, they can't resist kicking a loser. This is a story that will keep growing.

I'm with you. This whole load of bullmurtha (that's a new way of saying BS that I learned from Freeper fishergirl) is all political. And, given the politics at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if Rahm Emmanuel twists Murtha's arm into apologizing and knocking this horsemurtha off.
I do believe your assesment is correct. The L/MSM always seem to sense when they should turn their support off to a given individual. Call it self survival. And they sense the time is ripe to pull the plug on the ex Marine.
Good. Lets hope it stays that way. Murtha should be sued in civil court for defamation of their son's character. He's poisoned the local public opinion against him. that's got to be worth a few million.

Wuterich wanted an apology. He got one from that RINO in Minnesota, Kline, who had echoed Murtha's accusations. But so far, Murtha hasn't even offered a Kerryesque apology. He's so arrogant he won't even talk to vets in his own district. Murtha is skin wrapped around garbage.
Both groups are being prosecuted for political reasons. Meanwhile, over in Iraq, muzzies are killing their countrymen by the hundreds and setting their fellow muzzies on fire. We have to drop this PC bullmurtha and stop prosecuting the good guys.

While taking a walk outside, I stepped in a pile of murtha! Talk about mad. It took me most of the afternoon to get all that murtha out of the treads on my boots.
I got rid of the last bit of murtha by poking it out with a twig. Well, at least my new boots are murtha-free. Hopefully, America will be likewise soon!
Sometimes I think our best best to get rid of Murtha is with a thousand cuts and not one blow. He could easily get sick of the guff and retire to join his brother in the lobbying business. He'd probably make more money if he could live without the power.
Oh yes, KDKA-TV and radio (AM 1020) are heard all over Canonsburg.
Excellent. I was a listener back in the days of Chilly Billy Cardilly. (If you know what I'm talking about, you must be old as me!)
Chilly Billy was on Channel 11 (WIIC in those days and then later WPXI...I think Chilly Billy didn't get cancelled until after they switched call letters) when I was paying attention....KDKA is channel 2.
