You can read the Bloomberg story here.
You can read the AP story here.
Enjoy.
I think you mean "both orifices of their body".
I believe in the Bible it says "Judas went out and hung himself" another verse in the Bible says "go and do likewise"...they should not be applied together.
Nice catch.
BFLR = bump for later reading.
In both articles, he calls for more troops, saying that not going for victory would be a huge mistake.
FoxNews has been running a bit where GW is saying "I'm not sure what we are going to do [in Iraq]."
That is very unsettling. If HE doesn't know, who DOES?
That bit makes the Administration sound more and more inept at their handling of Iraq.
Maybe GW needs to give Jon Carry a call. At least we know Jon Carry has a plan .... for all occasions.
Nov. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Senator John McCain said U.S. troops are ``fighting and dying for a failed policy'' in Iraq and must get enough reinforcements to ensure a military victory.
McCain said that while deploying more troops to Iraq would put a ``terrible strain'' on the U.S. military, ``there's only one thing worse, and that is defeat.''
``And we've been losing,'' the Arizona Republican said on ABC's ``This Week'' program.
I'm no fan of McCain but when quotes are chopped up this fine, I don't pay it any attention. If a "journalist" has to pick and choose thir quote-bits like that, they are likely being dishonest. Notice the contrast beween Bloomberg's article and the Mercury News.

I guess Abizaid kicking his arse last week didn't do a thing for mcqueeg's attitude. This guy is insane... it's the only reason he has for saying the crap he says.

"Senator John McCain said U.S. troops are'fighting and dying for a failed policy' in Iraq and must get enough reinforcements to ensure a military victory."
Senator McStraddle mounts the fence, again.
They are weighing all of the options for Victory. Bush is honest... it may be unsettling, but I understand and appreciate his truthfulness. 'toon gave us all of the "feel good" lies we ever needed.

What do you suggest we do, RC?
I concur and apologize to Senator McCain.
On the other hand, my sense of derision toward the MSM over their obvious bias is heightened.
The guy who graduated almost dead last in his military class doesn't sound like the person to come up with the winning strategy in Iraq.
What does Rudy say about Iraq?
Stop demoralizing the troops by suggesting they are fighting and dying in vain, for one.
In 2004...House Republicans put [Rangel's Draft Resolution] up for a vote, and Rangel voted against it! The Rangel proposal went down 402-2, with the only "ayes" coming from Pelosi pet John "Okinawa" Murtha and Fortney Hillman Stark Jr.
I wonder what Murtha was thinking?
I have no idea what position Rudy Guiliani has taken on the Iraq War.
"Stop demoralizing the troops by suggesting they are fighting and dying in vain, for one."
That's a given. I mean, with Iraq. What is the goal, as you understand it?
