From male killer whales that ride the dorsal fin of another male to female bonobos that rub their genitals together, the animal kingdom tolerates all kinds of lifestyles.
A first-ever museum display, "Against Nature?," which opened last month at the University of Oslo's Natural History Museum in Norway, presents 51 species of animals exhibiting homosexuality.
"Homosexuality has been observed in more than 1,500 species, and the phenomenon has been well described for 500 of them," said Petter Bockman, project coordinator of the exhibition.
The idea, however, is rarely discussed in the scientific community and is often dismissed as unnatural because it doesn't appear to benefit the larger cause of species continuation.
"I think to some extent people don't think it's important because we went through all this time period in sociobiology where everything had to be tied to reproduction and reproductive success," said Linda Wolfe, who heads the Department of Anthropology at East Carolina University. "If it doesn't have [something to do] with reproduction it's not important."
For pleasure
However, species continuation may not always be the ultimate goal, as many animals, including humans, engage in sexual activities more than is necessary for reproduction.
"You can make up all kinds of stories: Oh it's for dominance, it's for this, it's for that, but when it comes down to the bottom I think it's just for sexual pleasure,"

It's not so much "unnatural" as "disordered."
Keep away from the bottom.

Monkeys also eat their own scat, so I guess it's fine for humans to imitate that behavior too.
I'm assuming the "fabulous" outfit this guy is wearing wins him a spot in the display...
Yes, they also eat and fling their own poo and pee on trees to mark their territory. You'll pardon me if I don't take my example from them.
Well, that scientific enough proof for me...
Try this for "unnatural":

Nothing more than trying to normalize watching homosexual animals having sex. Watching regular animals having sex, now that's fine and normal.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.
Nicely put.
This was posted before a month or two back.
It is the same junk science of homosexuals trying to confuse the blind mating instinct when there is a lack of members of the opposit sex with humans who chose a specific fetish for this gratification.
The animals are engaged in a behavior which they are hard wired to do in order to produce ofspring. The fact they "don't get it" just means they are animals.
They made their choice, now they have to live with their sinful natures.
Apparently not all dogs go to Heaven after all...
It just prevents them from passing it on.
Because the overwhelming majority of scientists are Christians and know that homosexuality is unnatural behavior.
There is no concept of "tolerance" among animals. You're either food or you're not.
Perverts all.
Being queer in the lower species makes it right for the higher species to be too? Sheesh!
Civilized humans on the other hand have risen above all that. There was a time when we had risen above the filthy sex practices too.
