#507, we have thought about getting together with conservative money people to finance a Conservative News channel. We have to go around the Liberal cadre that turned Fox into lightweights that mimic the DBM. In our ever changing Computer technology and cyberspace experimentation we could even have the CCSNN (The Conservative cyber Space News Network), or the FABCNN (the fair and balanced conservative news network), Fox certainly cannot claim that title in reality any longer.

A lot of these blue collar people are moving from my state to Wyoming. They tend to be moderates, not the lefties you'd find in areas like NYC or Boston. You have to give them a reason to vote Republican. The GOP needs to have a consistent message and not come off as heartless when it comes to issues like health care/education. If you can explain to people why our values lead to good policy, we win. If you let the Dems define us, then you get a disaster like we got this year.

Here is what I think, based on MTP today. The MSM was frustrated that the dems could not win elections so they jumped in with both feet, stopped being the least bit subtle and became an all out propaganda arm...and it worked. They are really feeling their oats. Their next goal is to run our foreign policy, at least as it relates to Iraq and Iran. I believe they think they can accomplish this.Be afraid. Be very afraid.
I really think that you have this last campaign nailed. The DBM and the Dhimmicrats saw this as their last shot and pulled out all the stops. By the same token they made promises they cannot keep, told lies that will not stand up to the simplest review and sold out allies left and right who will come back demanding pay back, big time.
There are those in the Dhimmicrat and DBM camp who see this as a huge victory and vindication of their position over the last 5 years. Those idiots are out their talking about universal health care, reinstituting the draft to get those nasty white boys and soaking the rich with new confiscatory taxes. There are others who realize that they got away with a fraud and they are very afraid of the backlash when things turn south on them.
They have over reached, big time.
A wise man knows his limitations.
They are not wise.

They have over reached, big time. That would be my thought. However, some of them are clearly charging ahead on the war. Very dangerous, not to mention irresponsible.

I agree they are not wise, they are not even smart. They are just Socialists, that do not have a clue that the Conservatives will have forgotten about Foley and Ney and Cunningham and will be paying attention to the faux Conservatives that Rahm Emmanuel recruited to play the part of Conservatives, but dance to The Liberal Rat tunes. Already they are seeing what stupid mistakes they made by swapping the devil for the Witch. I do not know about you, but the more I talk to people the more angry I see people getting knowing that the DBM is criminally disposed to taking over the Country. People do not like being duped, and controlled like Robots especially when we are at war and our wonderful Soldiers are in Jeopardy. The DBM has gone into small Communities all over America and taken out the Conservative Editors and put Radical Lefties in charge. The first thing they do is run all the Anti American, anti GOP, anti GWB Political Cartoons, then they hire lefty reporters that slant the News stories about Pubbie events in the area. Then they print the letters to the Editor from the nastiest Dems in the area that trash the Pubbies, and only print the Illiterate Pubbies and do not correct any errors in spelling or anything else. The most egregious thing I saw the Editor do was write an Editorial accusing the entire Community of being racist because one Minister was a racist and he left town because he was not wanted in the Community. It is a brainwashing that is deliberate and in some cases is working, but not for much longer, we are taking back the Community that was fine without them, and will be fine after they are gone.

WOW, Samantha.. that sounds like out local paper.

Something about Mitt is too slick. I can't totally put my finger on it.

No other source, compared to FR, has thousands of people around the world posting links to articles and information that we do here. Morgan, it's not the articles or information gathered I enjoy; I could get that at hundred's of different places. It's the individual commentary I enjoy. FReepers are a breed apart, in that they can consistently cut through the bullshit and get to the real meaning of an article, speech, story, etc. And no matter what's posted, there'll be a real, bona fide expert on the subject who can further explain or skewer the storyline. It's like having thousands of teachers teaching at the same time.
I used to get Time, Newsweek, etc, just to read the "Letters to the Editor". Not anymore. FR is Letters to the Editor, Speaker, Reporter, Essayer, Opinionator, etc, etc a thousand times over!

I read an article about the real Tom Delay in an Inflight Magazine several years ago. I was stunned to find out he was nothing like the media, even back then, was painting him. He is a very good, caring man, and there is no excuse for how he was treated.

I caught part of the Rather/Maher hatefest Friday night. Too bad both don't just fade off into the sunset.
To: Alas Babylon!
That pretty much explains why I come here.. I scan/read the articles, but I'm more interested in reading the debate on the subject at hand.
To: kcbc2001
My point exactly and just saying need to go back to basics right wing conservative policies as many are suggesting will not win these people over you have got to offer them something.

The GOP is going to have to start to work in the intermountain West if it is going to win.
Given the fact that conservatives hate government and liberals love it, and that our home-grown media has always been biased towards Dems, this gives us an uphill battle.
