#418, Mccain is now in the Minority in the Senate, thanks mostly to his shenanigans with CFR, and if he sucks up to the Rats, he will be even more hated by Conservatives than he is now. If he was smart and not such an egotistic -----fill in the blank, he would cut his losses and just stay quiet and don't make any more waves. He won't and he will get meaner and more bitter as he loses more and more support.

samantha, I really don't know what McCain could do to make conservative madder at him. The pundits say he's building an organization, but if that's true it has to be among the RINO class of Republicans.

More like someone has to tell certain feckless republicans about this woman's dedication to duty honor country.

#434, we are already on that assignment. Joe Negron will have to be working steady as he has three growing Children, and needs stability in their lives. His wife is a Nurse and is a delightful lady with a great personality, and great sense of Humor. They are a perfect fit for the CD, Mahomely is not. I almost barfed when I saw that face beneath a White Cowboy Hat in one of his Ads sent to my home. He looked like that old character actor that played a lot of bad guy Cowboy roles, that had a face and voice only a Mother could love on pay day. The Cowboy hat looked as out of place on his head as Dukakis looked in the tank. Fake, Phony, Fraud.....

#448, The Dolphins just won. Did JJ have even one hair out of place? If he did, it had to be an impostor.

as all the Conservatives figure out that they (FOX) are not fair and balance, they will no longer be winning the Ratings war

I know I for one have pretty much dropped out. About all I watch any more is Brit. O'Reilly is all about O'Reilly. Hannity and the Commie has become a Liberal shout-fest. And so it goes.

FOX has morphed itself from something genuinely interesting and exciting into the O.J./National Enquirer/Greta channel and is almost unwatchable. When one does stumble across some news, it is almost an afterthought and often about Tom's latest pre-nupts or some missing college student or baby in Florida or Omaha or who cares where. Or maybe it's a trash fire in LA. Besides that, what news it gives seems much more Liberally unfair and unbalanced. Disgusting, actually. And then they get some smarmy Liberal on to comment about it.

Maybe Newt ought to forget politics and start a conservative cable news and discussion channel called "Newt's NEWS"? He would bury the competition, flaccid as it is. There is no competition left in the American TV Media (or any other TV media) out there. It's a wasteland out here and there are millions of pair of eyes hungry for something honest and substantial.

#449, I do not believe than more than 2 of those so-called Conservative blue dogs are really conservative. If they were conservative, they would have changed to the party that has a Conservative base. We have a few blue dogs in my area that because of their Parents they just will not change, but that is out of the norm now because of what the Rats stand for anymore. In the 16CD Mahomely is not a blue dog, is not even Conservative. He is a recent former Republican that was recruited because he owned Property in a swampy area at the bottom of the bowl in the extreme southern end of the County butting up against the Glades. It floods a lot, and is mostly for Groves, some Cattle, not many inhabitants that are human. It is about 30 minutes from Civilization. What does this tell us? He says he is a resident of that Ranch, but is really a resident of Palm Beach Gardens Gated Community. The very Liberal leaning Tampa Tribune Satellite Newspaper here is already getting on him for only winning by 2 percent given all the Circumstances. They endorse him and now they will pay dearly when he votes with Pelosi.

You are absolutely right that Tester is not ready for prime-time. He is a perfect example of the worst of Montana politics.

He was short-roped all the way to the top of the political mountain by Gov Schweitzer, and now he has no clue of what to do.

We'll have to suffer through 6 years of him, and then one hopes that the Montana GOP will be able to find someone good to run against him...

#456, you have no idea the obstacles we faced with not just the Rats, but the Turncoat Republicans. Someday I will write a book about nutcases like we had here in the local GOP. They not only shot themselves in the foot, they reloaded and aimed higher. It is not funny, but I am trying to lighten things up.

Montana's Dems are far, far, more politically adroit than are their GOP counterparts.

Burns was only the second Republican Senator that Montana has had since WWI.

The Dems brilliantly figured out how to game the system to gerrymander the state legislative districts in their favor in the last reapportionment, even though the Republicans at that time controlled most of the state government due to the big Reagan wave.

A lot of "conservative" states, esp. in the Midwest and intermountain West have lazy GOP's, and the Dems out-hustle them. That's why we have an all-Dem Congressional delegation in ND, why the SD delegation is 2/3 Dem, and now MT is also 2/3 Dem, having managed to hold onto the House seat.

#498, Out of all the candidates out there, I only see three so far that are likable. Rudy, Condi, and maybe Mitt Romney. Lots of work to do I am guessing before 2008.

No, it's not funny. We have the same thing here as over the years the liberal Republicans have gained power. The point still means we have to take back the party and our focus if we ever expect to win.

#503, he can build anything he wants, we will quash that by bringing out the bad stuff that the DBM has on MCcain before the Primaries. After that anyone to the right of Mcgovern could beat Mccain in the primary. Rudy is also building teams in the states. I saw the handiwork here in Florida of these well financed paid volunteers for Martinez. They had no explanation for the vicious, filthy, dirty rotten campaign that he ran against Bill Mccollum and then his Female Democrat opponent. We will not let that happen here, and we have no respect for Martinez as head of the RNC, or anything except Mayor of Havana when Castro dies.

What you describe is indicative to what is going on in CO too. The latest claim is CO has turned Blue. We'll see if that holds but judging from the lackluster response from the GOP it seems true.
