#369, Tom Delay will prevail I am sure, However if they just dump the case on technicalities, it will not exonerate him. There needs to be a Trial with under oath utterances by the People that know all the dirt about how Ronnie Earle did all this illegal underhanded crap to a Citizen of America that did not break a law because it was not Law in that time period where he filed charges. It is past time for that creep Earle to get his comeuppance, and be show the door, sent packing in shame.

We simply don't get it. Iraqi people have been at the behest of "he who carries the biggest gun for Centuries", the current shift in power is nothing more or less to the average Iraqi. It's still "he who carries the biggest gun" will get their attention.
That's why Saddam was so effective.
Iraqi citizens knew if they crossed him he would kill off 100,000 people and think nothing of it. It's the level of justice they became used to.
Small numbers of killings probably don't get their attention.

#372, I hate to rain on your Parade, but the single most important aspect of a successful candidate for President is likability and Newt has been trashed so much by the DBM he is not in the eyes of even some Conservatives "Likable". John Kerry could have won if he had been Likable, he was not only not likable, he was dislike-able. Bob Dole was looked on as grouchy, grim, negative, not likable. He did not really start smiling,laughing and joking until after he lost. Al Gore is stiff, strange sounding, off the wall, not likable. Clinton was a good old boy who even seduced Newt into liking him. He was a dirty liar, pervert, creep, but being likable trumped all that. Sick, but real...
