Thank you for giving us blanket amnesty for illegals.
Thank you for courageously abandoning our troops.
Thank you for handing victory to the terrorists.
Thank you for guaranteeing higher taxes.
Thank you for guaranteeing no more conservative judges.
Thank you for empowering John McCain.
Thank you for bringing back universal health care.
Thank you for endless investigations.
Most of all, I want to thank you for showing complete disregard for the tens of thousands who spilled their blood to give you your right to vote.
Your callous, self-serving apathy has guaranteed the government actions that you so bitterly complained about.
A final reality check to all you non-voters who still call your self conservative:
You are not a conservative.
You define un-American.
You define un-patriotic.
Please stop pretending to care about the troops.
To all you people who actually voted.
Thank you for defending our Constitution.
Ditto that.
A very good friend confided in me that he did not vote. He thought I was going to rip him. I didn't. I put my hand on his shoulder and said, "I really can't blame you... But I voted."
Here's what confuses me.
1) Some people blame the conservatives for staying home for the "loss".
2) Others claim that republicans lost and conservatism won because the democrats ran conservative candidates.
3) The country-club republicans (open border crowd) claim that republicans lost because conservatives put national security above the american dollar.
I dissagree with number 3. So, between 1 and 2 which is it?
We have to know this in order to plan out victory in 2008.
If republicans lost but conservatives won (yet many conservatives didnt vote) is it because democrats vote for the D no matter if they're liberal or conservative?
I think the normal likely conservative voters voted. They didnt stay home. They just didnt work on getting out the vote in the months and weeks leading up to election day. Not because they are "arrogant" but because there was no spirit for it this time. You cant blame them for that. When you have a President calling the Minutemen "vigilantes"... it just does not exicite the base. Im sorry.
And finally...
We lost because of the GOP's failure. While Pelosi, Murtha, Kennedy, Kerry, Gore, Clinton and all the others were out there with their attacks and their defining the republican party for the American People
Where were the republicans? Zip! Nada! Zero!
KMA
I voted for the party who's gonna send the Marine Corps to close the border, yesterday.
I voted for the party who will immediately halt the American Über Holocaust on the unborn, 40 million murdered since '73.
I voted for the party who's for small government, a balanced budget, American autarchy, and an end to the ???billion trade deficit with the ChiComs.
I voted for the party who's gonna tell the truth about Oklahoma City, TWA flight 800, Able Danger, and just what Sandy Burglar stuffed down his skivvies.
Hope y'all did too.
The smarter trolls will use this line of attack to divide and conquer, while the not-so-smart Freepers will play right into their hands.
This is going to continue for a very long time.
I hope the mods can get it under control, but I've seen no evidence of it for quite a while. The trolls have been having a field day here for as long as I can remember. And they'll be relentless in their efforts to keep this rift going all the way to 2008.
And why shouldn't they? It's a sure winner for the bad guys.
Weiner looks at his ratings. When they are down in a conservative region, that night's show will be attacking LIIIIBeralism. When his ratings are down in a liberal city it's (and I quote) "YOU WANNA BE AN IDIOT AND FIGHT THAT WAR IN IRAQ THEN GO FIGHT THAT WAR IN IRAQ!"
Weiner has no place to be downing Kerry for what Kerry said about the troops. Weiner has said the same (when liberal city ratings for his show are down)
I never said I was happy about what happened. Instead of beating people up, let's fix things though. Our allies are confused and our enemy is laughing at us , as we fight and blame each other.
When I see that party, they'll have my undying loyalty and support.
Now we're being told by the chattering boot lickers of the GOP that conservatives stayed home.
First of all, HOW THE HECK DO THEY KNOW WHO STAYED HOME OR WHO VOTED FOR WHO?
See, this is EXACTLY what's wrong with the GOP. It's this pompous, elitist, smug attitude they displayed to the grassroots. "Oh those conservatives will vote for us, trust us!" They keep trying to scare conservatives with this VOTE FOR US OR ELSE PELOSI WILL BE SPEAKER! crap, the "lesser of the two evils," all the while thinking that the magical "R" next to politicians' name is going to seal the deal for them. They apparently forgot that conservatives don't march in lockstep like Dim voters do. We analyze the issues and the candidates, and if they don't represent our views, why vote for them?
I second...
The Democrat majority in Congress isn't a super-majority, and President Bush does have his veto pen available prior to conservatives having to wait for the '08 elections and/ or beyond to, possibly, turn things around on many issues favorable to conservatives. If President Bush truly doesn't "bend in the wind" to the Democrat's wishes, if he actually does use his veto pen, and if he doesn't agree to what the Democratic majority-especially to what the politically left-wants on the majority of issues, then the "political damage" at the federal level will end up being greatly minimized. Also, if there are truly some "conservative" Democrats who were just elected to Congressional office in '06, and that's the real question to ask here, then these politicians will need to vote truly like conservatives or else face the consequences in '08 and beyond from a majority of voters who expected these new politicians to truly behave like conservatives. It's the government spending, illegal immigration, and War on Terror issues and how the next Congress decides to handle these issues that many people will be watching very closely among other issues. It will also be very interesting to see how any future judicial appointments made by President Bush are handled by the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate.
Is it time for our "Caesar"?
DUmmy Troll!
I think that's what you mean, right?
I have noticed that. It came from the country-clubber open borders, RINO types. They purposely angered the conservatives hoping they would not vote. I know that for a fact. It was a plan. It worked. RINOs actually hoped for this election result.
Their goal was to anger conservatives not just in FR but other places online. That's a lot of voters when you consider the "lurkers". They actually forced the conservatives into the thinking "oh yeah? Well, Im staying home and watch and see what happens to your party without me"
And that's exactly what the RINOs wanted.
They got it. A democrat controlled government.
They are NOT upset at all.
Too bad there weren't any like that on the ballots.
I wouldn't have felt sick after casting my vote.
I voted for the lesser of two evils, but it was still a vote for evil.
If the Republicans had actually been conservative, they might have done better. As it stands, they did a pretty pathetic job, comments by arrogant newbie neocon's notwithstanding
Freepers better learn, the Reagan coalition is composed of economic conservatives, social conservatives and blue collar conservatives. All three components must work together. The free trade global economy has caused dislocations in certain sectors of the American economy and has benefited other sectors. Blue collar workers have not benefited immensely in the global free trade policies. Claims of rising wages in the US must be broken down by sectors. Manufacturing salaries have kept up with inflation but are constantly under pressure from outsourcing and illegal immigrants. The GOP support of unrestraint global trade and lukewarm last minute act of stopping illegal immigrants have turned off many blue collar conservatives. Some have voted Democrat because the conservative Dem candidate offered to increase the minimum wage and review the upcoming free trade agreements on the drawing board. Though the Dems will not stop illegal immigrants, atleast the blue collar conservatives will get something on minimum wages and restraining free trade. I think once they get the two items they will again ask the two parties to stop abuse of H-1B visas and illegal immigration in 2008. The party that will meet their needs will get the blue collar conservative vote. Let us see if the GOP is going to cater to the Chamber of Commerce or the blue collar conservative voters they need to maintain the winning coalition. In the last 12 year, the Chamber of Commerce got what they wanted, while the blue collar conservatives were ignored by the GOP. The GOP paid for their inaction in 2006.
Dems knew to stick together and not voice hardly any complaints
Notice how NOW and NARL didn't protest Bob Casey for running a pro-life campaign
Look .. I understand why many were upset with republicans .. they did a lousy job in congress
But there wasn't much wiggle room to do the 92 election all over again
We are in the middle of a war
We can recover from the Dems spending and tax hikes .. that we all know are coming
But I'm not sure we can recover quickly from another terrorists attack
Because we all know what the dems are going to try and do with our military and intelligence agencies
Heck .. back in October .. Diane Feinstein was trying to get a ban on cluster bombs .. before that Kerry was trying to get a ban on bunker buster bombs ... and the Dems hate the missile defense shield program
As for USSC Judges?? ... it would the 1980's all over again .. the dems will Bork any conservative judge if there are retirements on the bench
Do the dims better represent your views?
