Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has hired several of Jeb Bushs top aides, leading to speculation that Romney may be courting the outgoing Florida governor for a possible Romney-Bush 2008 ticket for the White House.
After Bushs former chief of staff and top political adviser, Sally Bradshaw, joined Romneys Commonwealth political action committee earlier this month, Romney flew to Florida to join Bush for campaign events and fund-raisers - and to gauge Bushs interest in being a running mate, sources told the Boston Herald.
Soon after, Bushs chief finance director, Ann Woods Herberger, also joined Romneys political action committee.
Bush has ruled out running for president himself. But agreeing to accept the vice presidential post would allow him to "run on the national ticket without having to run for the ticket, since vice presidential candidates are chosen, not elected, political analyst David Mark, a former political reporter who covered Gov. Bush, told the Herald.

Sure, Santorum could bring us Pennsylvania.
Oh wait...forget that.....
Go JEB!
Extremely high housing costs, a high cost of living, a lack of good jobs outside the metropolitan areas, commuting nightmares, and a dreary climate (except for four months/year) have far more to do with it than Mitt Romney does.
The cry must go out:
NO MORE CLINTONS, PERIOD!!!

Is that pig latin?
I have nothing against Romney at this point, but then I haven't really done my homework concerning him either. I can say this, however, I do NOT want either Rudy or "McCain"...I especially do not want John McCain! I will be looking into everyone who makes an effort to run.

What is this love affair some of you folks have with RINO's? I don't get it...
This one issue:
Gun Control: According to his 2002 gubernatorial campaign, Romney "is a supporter of the federal assault weapons ban. Mitt also believes in the rights of those who hunt to responsibly own and use firearms."[102] July 1st, 2002 Mitt Romney signed a permanent ban on Assault Weapons. "Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts," Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony with legislators, sportsmen's groups and gun safety advocates. "These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."
Shows the guy has NO CLUE about Constitutional issues, cares nothing for individual Rights, and with all his other baggage he HAS ZERO CHANCE of winning enough votes in Fly Over Country.
Same for Rudy and John.
Seriously... there ARE conservatives out there with a more than passing interest in the Constitution and it's limits on government power. Why not try one of those instead of pretzling our principles trying to find "moderates"...
When will Jenna and Barbara be old enough to run? They could move to different states and then run as a President/Vice President team! Wouldn't that be great? More Bushes, now and forever!
I agree. And I like W. Most of the time, anyway!
Need new blood though. Hunter, Sanford, Pence, or me.
While it is true that many Pennsylvanians have made fools of themselves and our state with the election of Bobby Casey, Jr., not all of us have by a long shot. Once this state sees what the majority of recent voters has done to us, there will be either a total loss of the state or we will rebound; something that is hardly a likelihood for the state of Vermont who has put the single biggest socialist of all time in as a new senator: Bernie Sanders.
Rick Santorum is by no means finished! He will live to fight another day! I am so proud of him!

As of 2005, Massachusetts has an estimated population of 6,398,743, which is a decrease of 8,639, or 0.1%, from the prior year and an increase of 49,638, or 0.8%, since the year 2000.
I'd back this ticket in a heartbeat. Jeb ain't his brother, and Mitt Romney is looking like the best man for the job.
No, he's not. He's actually married to a Mexican.
I hear you about Bush fatigue but after a couple years of Pelosi etal screwing everything up ... the Bush name may sound much better.
No thank you.
Jeb Bush=we lose.
I'm not sure I can argue with the first two, but even Bush supported the Assault Weapons Ban, and it hardly seemed to hurt him in flyover country.
