One of Rudy Giulianis early achievements as mayor of New York City was to make people think twice about urinating on the streets.
If somebody was urinating on the street, he once told the New York Times, the reaction would be, oh, we cant do anything about that. And then the idea would start to develop that there must be some inherent human right to urinate on the street. So the police started ignoring all kinds of offenses. Theyd even stand by when drug deals were going on. The police became highly skilled observers of crime.
Something had to be done, and Rudy was the man to do it.

Wow, I didn't know Rudy was this extreme...
I had the idea he was teachable on these things...but apparently, he's left of even extremists in the other party on social issues....
I'll let him be Attorney General, that's all
Not as President.
The sooner you choose, the easier the next two years will be on you.
The last thing we need is more social liberalism in the Republican Party, and Rudy is very much a social liberal. With the administration careening toward making the next two years be the fifth and sixth years of Bush the Elder's administration, the last thing we need is for the party to follow them over the cliff.
Go Rudy Go!!!!
Rudy or a dim. The choice is clear. IMO McCain would fade at the end due to his age. Noone else stands a chance in hell.
all of the sanctimonious republicans standing on principals will watch as hillary goes back to the white house....
Rudy will be a very effective executive...a decision maker that will be very good on foreign policy and tough on domestic crime...he will nominate good judges for Scotus not a meirs and therefore abortion will not be altered by Scotus regardless of his views.... get over it...it will be Rudy or the paips....
run Rudy run!!!!...kick the piaps ass!!!!!!
I lived under Koch and Rudy, and there is NO, NONE comparison between Rudy and any other GOP'er ready to run....
It's Rudy, he has my vote and both of the girls, too...
An anti-Second Amendment pro-abortionist pro-gay marriage candidate will not make it out of the Republican primaries. So if the choice is only Rudy or Hillery, she will be #44.
Snip:
But here it is easy to disagree with Rudy and his admirers. He has no chance of winning the Republican nomination, and, even if he did, he would not make a good president. His views on core cultural issues are too radical.
Giuliani is not just pro-abortion, he is pro-partial-birth abortion. He has not flinched from defending the legality of the gruesome practice that the late Democratic Sen. Patrick Moynihan of New York described as close to infanticide.
I am pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said in 1999, when he was contemplating a Senate campaign. When a reporter asked if he at least favored a ban on partial-birth abortion, Giuliani said, No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing.
Giulianis pro-gay rights position is so extreme, he advocated stripping away the special legal status of traditional marriage. In 1998, he pushed a municipal ordinance that wiped out all distinctions between married and unmarried couples in New York City law, regardless of their gender.
End snip
Rudy sure is taking the heat these days...
Ping.

I would not vote for Hillary, nor would I vote for Rudy. His opposition to the 2nd amendment is enough to stop me from voting. His pro homosexual stance and pro baby killing are just the icing on the cake.
What happened with the cancer or whatever it was that caused him to drop out of the Senate race a few years ago?
I think we need to decide what the big issues should be and then find the best candidate to address them. Dems seek to moderate on both abortion and gun rights, so they will not be the big issues in 08.
Prostate cancer--highly treatable.
Wow, your powers are incredible. How about you give me the winning numbers for the Mega Million Lottery?
The possibility of Rudy or McCain winning in the South are between slim and none and slim has left the building.
