~ College Football ~
Match Of The Week Preview: (By MikeFromOhio) Weekend Eleven threw the entire BCS mess into an even bigger mess if that is possible. No fewer than 3 one loss teams lost (Texas, Auburn, Cal) while another one (Florida) needed to block 3 kicks to win their game 17-16 against South Carolina. This we +ek is the week that just about everyone in the national media has been waiting for. The greatest rivalry in college football renews and that game finds that Ohio State is #1 and Michigan is #2 for the first time in the 102 game history of this game.

Saturday, November 18th, 2006 (ABC)
at
(2) Michigan at (1) Ohio State (-6.5)
It doesnt get any better than this. For the FIRST time ever, an 11-0 Ohio State team will play an 11-0 Michigan team. For the FIRST time ever, the teams are ranked 1 and 2 in every major poll. For the FIRST time ever, the loser of this game will end up in the Rose Bowl. This is the best rivalry in college football, and this one clearly has the best setup of any of those previous 102 games.
Ohio State and Michigan have both played dominant defense and very well on offense. Ohio State has a Heisman candidate in Troy Smith and Michigan has a Heisman candidate in Mike Hart. Ohio State has a coach that has brought a new focus to this rivalry whereas Michigan has the coach who was so dominant in this rivalry that Ohio State was forced to make a change. Does it sound like Im having issues picking this game? Really Im not. Every comparison for these teams shows that Ohio State is better on offense while Michigan is better on defense except for scoring defense. In the end, this game will come down to who makes the bigger plays. I think Troy Smith, who has burned Michigan each of the previous two years, will make enough plays to allow Ohio State to win this game.
Ohio State 28 Michigan 18

Hebrews 10:19-23Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Hebrews 10:22
Pastor Rich McCarrell explained to his young son how his secretary screened his phone calls at the church office. He said, If your mom calls me and Im busy, the church secretary will tell her what Im doing, and then Mom will decide if I should be interrupted or if she should leave a message.
Then he said to his son, If you call me, youll be put right through. I want you to know that you can call me anytime, because youre my son.
A few days later, the church secretary put a call through to the pastor from his son. He said hello and asked what he could do for his son. He replied, Nothing, Dad. I just wanted to make sure I could actually get through to you that easily.
We too always have instant access to our Father in heaven. Theres no secretary to screen His calls. No need for a decision on whether or not we should bother Him. No need to leave a message so that He can get back to us later. The psalmist reminds us, The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry (Ps. 34:15).
Because Jesus has provided the way by His death and resurrection, you can have boldness and confidence as you draw near to your Father (Heb. 4:16). Anne Cetas
Dear Father, thank You that we can talk with You
at any time for any reason. We are grateful for that
privilege, which was made possible by Your Son Jesus
through His death and resurrection.

When Abu Musa Al Zarqawi died,
George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates.
He slapped him across the face and yelled,
"How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive?"
Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose
and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties
but you failed."
James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin
and said, "This is why I allowed our government to
provide for the common defense!"
Thomas Jefferson was next, beat Zarqawi
with a long cane
and snarled, "It was evil men like you
who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence."
The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason,
James Monroe and 66 other early Americans
unleashed their anger on the terrorist leader.
As Zarqawi lay in pain, an Angel appeared.
Abu Musa wept and said, "This is not what you promised me."
The Angel replied, "I told you there would be
72 Virginians waiting for you in Heaven.
What did you think I said? :D
