Thanks! I was trying to pull it off the Welcome Screen page which didn't work. When I saw that I burst out laughing.

I didn't even know they were doing a Memorial and I don't think my tax dollars should fund it BTW.

I have been jumping on both Bush's for being nice to the Clintons so I don't play favorites! :) I think it is despicable to see how the Bush's suck up to Clinton. How's that?

There is a difference between being respectful and this picture IMHO.

I would bet his file is never released especially after building this monument.

He was also a cheatin', wife-beatin', tax dodger who just happened to be the original shake-down artist. Can you give me an example of a "shake-down" attempt by MLK Jr?

Bush I and Clinton worked together in '88 on Goals 2000, which later became Education 2000 during Clinton's term (I may have the titles reversed).
They also winked and looked away together (to put it as kindly as possible) during during some highly suspicious flights into and out of Mena, Arkansas' airport during the 80's.
A very sad example of bipartisanship that I don't benefitted any citizens in America. :-(

We thought he was a great man, too. Until we found out that he was a plagiarist AND an adulterer. It was one shock upon another. By that standard, since no one since Jesus has been perfect, no one is worthy of admiration. You are just like those who hate Washington and Jefferson because they held slaves. "We thought they were great men too. Until we found out that they owned slaves."

Martin Luther King was a great man. He placed himself in great danger to stand up for what he believed in. Amen. I'm with you 100%.

Society used to shun rapists. I'm not defending him, but he was never charged with rape, let alone convicted of rape. Your accusation is exactly the same those on the liberal side who claim Bush is a war criminal. You are doing exactly the same as if a liberal had said of the same picture but this time speaking about Bush: "Society used to shun war criminals."
You would have come across much better had you said something like: "Impeachment used to be something shameful."

While I was only a small child when he was killed, I have a sense that his loss did tremendous damage to the state of civil rights in this country. I believe his death opened the door for people like Jesse Jackson, who don't have anywhere near the respect or authority that Martin Luther King Jr had.
I believe that as long as we keep expecting the "other" side to solve the race problem, it will never get solved. We all have our part to do. And much of the language used on this thread does absolutely nothing to move us forward.
It is the biggest shame in America that we have turned yet another century, and we still have a deep divide. We have certainly made progress, so there is hope, but we have a long, long way to go.

I think MLK was a great man who did something about obtaining equal rights for blacks in the South. I don't think anyone can deny that. I love the words "let every man be judged by the content of his character, not the color of his skin", of course that don't play well with the affirmative action crowd. It MLK, Jr were alive today he would be a Republican and would be standing beside Ward Connerly.

It's the first black U.S.President hugging the first brown President. Bush. There now, I fixed it. ;o)

I wish the Bush family would realize that their bizarre friendship with Clinton doesn't enhance their reputations.

I agree that he would be standing along side Ward Connerly.
