The Dem's can do more damage in 2 years than the GOP can fix in 10. Of course and oddly enough, this is primarily because Democrats have the guts to press their agenda forward. Republicans don't.
We need a new crop of congressmen.

Yeh, but you can bet that GW won't be able to find his veto pen for any of this.
Tuesday night, Tony Snow was on FoxNews, elated that they can now proceed with 'comprehensive immigration' [that's amnesty for those of you in Rio Linda].
Wednesday, at his presser, the only point where GW shows a smile and elated joy is when the reporter asks about 'comprehensive immigration' [that's amnesty for those of you in Rio Linda].
Bush has the Congress he wants to get his 'comprehensive immigration' [that's amnesty for those of you in Rio Linda] passed.

Someone posted to me shortly after the 04 elections that GW would drop his 'comprehensive immigration' [that's amnesty for those of you in Rio Linda] when it didn't get passed before 04. I responded that he wouldn't give up on it until January 20, 2009, if there was ANY way he could get it through.

The Dem's can do more damage in 2 years than the GOP can fix in 10. Yes. All of those people who are praising the election of the Democrats as some sort of great way for us to win in 2008 seem to be forgetting just how bad it was the last time the Democrats ran the House of Representatives.
If we hadn't managed to get a sunset provision, the dead-stupid Assault Weapons Bill would still be the law of the land. We then squandered our chances of revoking any federal gun control when we had all three branches of government and accomplished nothing.
This time around, in addition to more gun control, we are going to see a general amnesty for illegal aliens and no fence built.
