Pelosi and her 'Crash Dummies' (Putting things wildly in perspective)
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | Friday, November 10, 2006 | Kevin McCullough

Liberals have been clucking non-stop since election night at the prospects of what Democrat victory means to their radical causes. In first recruiting, then funding, faith-friendly, conservative, and in a couple of instances even born-again candidates, the Democrat party captured needed numbers to swipe leadership posts. The strategy proved extremely effective. Nancy Pelosi will bring San Fran values to the Beltway debate, and Kennedy, Kerry and Clinton will clamor to be first in line.

But how did she get there? In many instances, by taking advantage of terrible Republicans and their own criminal wrongdoing. But the main strategy was to convince a needed one-fourth of the electorate that the Democrat option on the ballot was not much different than the Republican option. Winning enough of the seats to take control of both houses, Pelosi is free to assign every committee chairmanship in the House, as is Reid in the Senate, to the most disgusting and vile liberal creatures imaginable.

The strategy was so sound it was as though they had taken the ideas right out of my book, "The MuscleHead Revolution: Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking," or at the very least from the scrap notes of Karl Rove. Continues...

Putting things wildly in perspective

Here's a short list of things which haven't magically changed, even after the Rat takeover of Congress:

-- Bush is still President of the United States, and Jon Carry isn't.

-- Bush is still Commander-in-Chief.

-- Bush still has two more years as President and Commander-in-Chief.

-- Bush still has the veto pen. That veto pen means the Nancy Pelosi/Charlie Rangel/Henry Waxman/Ted Kennedy/trial lawyer/ environutter/gun-grabbing/tax-hiking agenda has zero chance of becoming law.

-- The war against Islamofacists is still on.

-- Unless Saddam's death sentence gets overturned by the 9th Circuit, the 'GOD-IS-GREAT!' screaming secular Baathist is still going to hang.

-- The Democrat Party is still a patchwork of special interest groups. These groups don't agree on much. The irony is that, rather than civil war erupting in the GOP, it's more likely to happen within the Democrat Party, since nothing will get done, which means lots of internal strife and lots of finger-pointing. The stuff these groups will be pushing for is very unpopular, which is why, before the elections, they hid Pelosi in a cave in Tora Bora.

-- The Democrat Party is still a collection of losers who haven't got a clue yet. The Dems, after a string of losses -- in 2000, again in 2002, again in 2004 -- were bound to win one. Two-term Presidents don't win both midterm elections -- just doesn't happen. And you can bet that these Dems, feeling emboldened, will spend the next two years hard at work getting the GOP back in shape for a big comeback in '08.

The 2006 midterm election was a battle, just one battle, not the war itself. The big one will be '08. We'll win that one.

Anyway, that's...

"But how did she get there? In many instances, by taking advantage of terrible Republicans and their own criminal wrongdoing."

Is this a portrayal of Tom Delay's Abramoff connections versus Harry Reid's lily white land deals?

Is WND openly courting the Dim majority now?

Another ray of sunshine is the departure of Lincoln Chaffee. In addition its going to be fun watching the dims try to pretend to be normal well balanced people. They remind me of the alien in the human skin in the first Men in Black movie.

Just saw Chaffee say the democrat takeover was a good thing on Neil Cavuto rerun.

It's been 40 years since there's been a repub party in Massachusetts. The Kennedy family has turned Mass into the political equivalent of a cult.

And the Mass reub party has been the political equivalent of the "Nationals", the basketball team that loses every game to the Harlem Globetrotters!

At least this way Rick Santorum can fill Justice Stevens' spot on the Supreme Court, given that the polite traditions of United States senators do not permit them to filibuster one another.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Amen to the MSM WINNING BIG!
They did a 77% favorable presentation of democrats and a 12% favorable presentation of repubs in their evening newscasts in stories they ran prior to the election.
I have spoken with a several people now and I cannot believe how many of them are speaking about BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA! They know nothing about this man other than what the MSM has put out and they are saying what a wonderful man he is.
The MSM has already chosen Hillary, Hussein Obama, McCain, Guiliani as the front runners for the 08 election. Just look at how they throw their names out there every chance they get to talk about 08.

the repub needed to make the liberal media the issue. they have to confront them like Lynne Cheney head on and with no apologize. play nice does not work when the media is the opposition party. the wh should have yanked press passes any rude reporter at the wh . bring conservative bloggers to the press meetings and so should the repub congress and senate . issue press passes to powerline , red state etc.. and fill the hallways and answer only there questions just the like dems/liberal media played it . we witnessed the most no stop press attack on a political party since the nixon administration. we are at WAR and its with the leftist media opposition party.they don't plann on being fair so attack

To answer your question: the last 3 governors (Romney, Weld, what'shername) is what happened. None of these 'heros' did ANYTHING to build or support the state Republican party. It's that lack of leadership plus the innate idiocy of the majortiy of the mASSachusetts voters. There's a reason why it's the only state in the Union with a net reduction in the number of residents. However, that would change if they could accurately count the number of illegals and it were closer to the Mexican border.

I'm surprised there are not more scandals involving journalists & news organizations. Where there are large egos there is usually corruption of some sort. Odd that their industry seems to be free from scandal.

They just cover for each other--like doctors in malpractice suits, nobody wants to let the cat out of the bag because he might be next.

Please refresh my memory. Cannot the veto be overidden? Or does the House and the Senate not have a sufficient amount of RHINOS who will go along with their dem brethren?

what happened to the Republican party en masse?

They became the party of big government and of holding on to power for its own sake.

The inmates have not officially take control yet. However, as usual, the GOP and Bush have ceded all power to them.

Wrong. If Bush uses his veto pen on liberal pet causes, there will be no funding for Iraq.

I think the correct question is, what happened to the Republican party en masse?

Well, those of us here in Tennessee did our part. I knew Tennesseans would never elect Harold Ford, Jr. state wide.

As for the rest, you got what you voted (or didn't vote) for......
