The likely new chairman of the House Judiciary Committee says he's just fighting bigotry in leading a Democrat jihad to deny law enforcement key terror-fighting tools. But he is in the pocket of Islamists.
John Conyers, son of a leftist Detroit union activist, represents the largest Arab population in the country. His district includes Dearborn, Mich., nicknamed "Dearbornistan" by locals fed up with cultural encroachment and terror fears from a steady influx of Mideast immigrants.
Conyers, who runs an Arabic version of his official Web site, does the bidding of these new constituents and the militant Islamist activists who feed off them. They want to kill the Patriot Act and prevent the FBI from profiling Muslim suspects in terror investigations. They also want to end the use of undisclosed evidence against suspected Arab terrorists in deportation proceedings.
And the 77-year-old Conyers has vowed to deliver those changes for them.
"The policies of the Bush administration have sent a wave of fear through our immigrant communities and targeted our Arab and Muslim neighbors," he growls.
He'll soon be in a position to act on his promises.

After this thread was posted last night, I did some research on Conyers. I have to admit I really didn't know that much about him. He is really bad news. He has been an exceedingly effective congressman and really has his finger on the pulse of the leftists.
He posts at Huffington, Daily Kos, and DU, plus he has his own blog. He appeared in Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11.
Not only has he had impeachment on his to-do list, he is also responsible for pushing the Downing Street memo, wrote a book on voter irregularities in '04 Ohio.
He was on Nixon's enemy list. His father was an organizer of the UAW. He was one of the 13 founders of the Conressional Black Congress.
He favored sanctions on South Africa, but opposes the sanctions on Cuba.
He was a member of the Judiciary Committee during Watergate.
He is responsible for Martin Luther King Day, the Jazz Preservation Act, the Alcohol Warning Label Act, the Motor Voter Bill, the Violence Against Women Act, the End Racial Profiling Act, the Help America Vote Act of 2002, pushed Clinton to delink economic and military sanctions on Saddam, refused to support Israel as a victim of terrorist acts. He has spoken at A.N.S.W.E.R. meetings and rallies with Ramsey Clark and had LaRouche speak at his events. He has been accused of ethics violations by his own former staffers. He is pro-draft. He refuses to support drilling in ANWR. He introduced the Hate Crimes Prevention Act and helped enact hate crimes laws, wants reparations for slaves, and increases in minimum wage. He wants universal health care. He fully supports the U.N.

In a June 1, 1979 New York Times opinion piece he co-authored with Marcus Raskin, co-founder of the extreme leftwing think tank the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), Conyers asserted that "government's responsibility is to revitalize the nation's economy through creative forms of public ownership" - in other words, through socialism.
Some of the above info was obvious, but Conyers is the embodiment of everything conservatives are against. He is much more dangerous than airhead Pelosi.

He doesn't realize/ and hasn't for years, anything close to reality. He should go out in his area and ask if they know what kaffir means, and if they consider him one.
That's OK, it's a useful exercise to catalog the obvious. It helps us to better understand the socialist agenda so we can defeat it.

I think he is being sued by some staff members for making them babysit for him as part of their House duties...or something like that.

I have been saying the same thing. Have you ever heard this dirtbag speak? He sounds senile.
Simmons knows his history especially about the 1300 + year war Muslims have waged against everyone else.
