I'd thought they were probably going to send some suicide bombers into Capitol Hill restaurants in February as a symbolic attack on Congress ~ go to the right place at the right time of day and you could probably change the name of the majority party in the House; little chancier with the Senate because of the various ways empty seats are filled.

Maybe they are going to do this earlier.

Given that the White House is the named target, maybe "W" ought to bring the Nancy woman, Chucky Schumer and Stenny Hoyer (Daniel Ortega's boy) in for regular, roundrobin, 24/7 seminars and discussions just in case.

DUBAI -- Al-Qaeda's Iraq branch has threatened to "blow up the White House" in the course of establishing an Islamic caliphate which has started with the proclamation of an Islamic state in Iraq, in an audio message by its chief posted Friday on the Internet.

"We announce today the end of a phase of the jihad (holy war) and the start of a new one... to usher in the project of an Islamic caliphate and restore Islam's glory," Abu Hamza al-Muhajer said in the message.

"We swear we will not rest from our jihad... before blowing up the filthiest house, dubbed the White House," he said.

The authenticity of the message could not be independently confirmed.
