"Seth Stevenson, ad critic for Slate,"

It amazes me what passes for 'a real job' these days.

"smug little twit"

Sums up the typical Mac-fanatic and also most/all members of the Demagogic Party. [not that Microsoftheads offer anything better!!]

Insulting your potential new customers isn't usually a good marketing tactic.

the character is a 'smug little twit'.

Damn! My thoughts exactly. He reminds me of every cocky 22-year-old street punk I've ever known (one in particular).

I thought the "smug little twit" was busy making verbal missteps two weeks ago.

Apple should bring back the stoned girl from their last ad campaign to be in these commercials instead. Much more representative of what they try to sell to the masses.

I actually thought it was a good series of ads and would work in the long-run.

But then I used an apple in 1985 (21 years ago) that actually worked better than today's Microsoft garbage.

Great ads, go see them here before they're gone:

What got me is that Apple tried to make it seem as though PC aren't good for anything except for work. Well, I have played a ton of games on my trusty Dell that will never be available for a Mac. Plus, I have done all of my development and photo and video editing on a PC and never had a problem doing anything that they say a Mac can do better.

Agree. The PC guy was funny and you felt sorry for him. The Mac guy played straight man.
