Let me see if I get this last propaganda spin lie fed to the Junk Media by the Democrats right. After the worst sort of slime bag gutter politics and demagoguery for the last 6 years suddenly we are all suppose to play nice since the Dems finally managed to lie their way back into power?

I do not think so.

They think they run things but believe or not, President Bush has a veto pen and we still have more then 40 Conservative Senators to filibuster with.

They need to get along with us. WE can stop anything they want. Let us see if Democrats are stupid enough to forget that fact

We lost a battle, the war goes on.

We are all close to that. The talking heads mostly drive that type of thinking

No, the Junk Media does that. The Talking Heads merely follow their lead

We see it here, with the pronouncements of the end of the world now that the democrats are in charge.

I think it's terrible the democrats are in charge, and I worked to avoid it, but I don't expect the world to come to an end, nor will I spend the next day, month, or year fretting about how I am powerless to make things go they way I want it to go.

It is easier to play defense, than offense. We need to sit back and watch THEM for awhile...and see how sick the public gets of THEM (Pelosi especially!)

Yes, Bush did speak and it was basically a rehash of yesterday. Nothing new.

think our republicans did get complacent, and spent their time doing what they thought would get them all reelected

I agree. It is a major flaw in Republicans both nationally and locally. They win, they think they won over everyone for all time.

McLame is the one that we can blame. He sabotaged everything for himself. Looks at the result on Tuesday.

"OK, let me get this straight. The people angry about Immigration stayed home so the ONLY people fighting for their side in DC, the US House Republicans, would get fired thus turning the Govt over to the Amnesty Now Democrats?"

So let me get this straight. The GOP controlled all three branches of Gov and the best they could do was to vote to build a fence 3 weeks before an elections and then NOT FULLY FUNDING IT, thus insuring it will never be built?
Why did they not fully fund it?

that is the problem....

with that "fear" of the other side- we don't have any power... the parties, and the gov't has the power...

they know it...

if we start blaming each other...instead of the elected officials that were elected on one agenda, and then governed on another- then we truly no longer become a nation governed by the people, for the people.......

That hurt big time. Does anyone remember the alien marches through our large cities this Spring? NOTHING was done on that issue. During Bush's presser, it seemed he was happy he can get the Dems to go with him on amnesty. IF THAT IS TRUE, He completly missed the point of the election.

Same here in Arizona...but, we still have time to change things.. and property is still affordable and jobs have moved into the Phoenix area like crazy from California, if you can stand the hot summers you might want to check us out, we need more conservative voters to offset the border crowd.

"Why didn't they fully fund it?"

Because they really didn't want to build it. It was just "boob bait for the bubbas."

but Bush sets the tone on immigration--He is responsible. I agree. This Administration has been no better than the last 3 Administrations on Immigration.

We agree on that point.
