Howlin, you and onyx have known me for a while. And you know I'm not a troll.

I'm not abandoning the President, certainly not in terms of our troops. But ~politically~ it is increasingly hard to stand with him.

We lost a bitterly contested race here in Virginia. And perhaps I'm just too tired and too close to it still to view things objectively.

It's a mixed bag, because I've also been one of the ones saying that Allen should go ahead and concede.

But in the past 24 hours it feels as though the President has kicked us in the gut.

Maybe he has a plan. Maybe he knows what he's doing.

I just think his timing sux.

Whatever party we come from, we all have a responsibility to ensure that these troops have the resources and support they need to prevail. I'm open to any idea or suggestion that will help us achieve our goals of defeating the terrorists and ensuring that Iraq's democratic government succeeds.

The President puts the ball squarely in the Dem's court.

If they're so smart, let's see their improvements on Repub policies - put up or shut up. The American people will certainly be listening.

My opinion -- it is up to the moderators to attempt to keep FR on track. If the moderators are not sucessful, then my interest in FR will diminish.

It isn't an easy task for the moderators, to allow free expression, but at the same time staying our conservative course.

Well I think there are four groups that make up the GOP. Paleocons (old, long time constitutional conservative) (me), neocons(new, conservative Dems adopted the GOP but kept conservative Dems policy views), relgious right (socially conservative, prolife, profamily morally motovated), Reagan Democratic (socially conservative working class Americans, economically motovated). Neocons are running the GOP so of couse ceocons voted GOP.
Paleocons have not place to go so paleocons voted GOP
Relious right of couse voted GOP, LOL, like paleo's no place else to go and the Supreme count is a big motovator. But we lost a good part of the Reagan Democats. And we lost them because it seems we care more about cheap crap at wal-mart then we do about thier jobs in mills and plants and factories all accross this land. We will not win again until we can get them back.

PS if Bush's amnesty passes the GOP will never again win an election.

That's just what I meant. For many people, things are not good economically. For someone affected by globalism, the economy is very worrisome. The only people whose jobs are really safe today are probably in government or health care.
