He ought to just get it over with and bring his entire cabinet to the presser. Line them up and ask the press corps by a show of hands just which heads they would like to be handed to them on a platter.
That's what they want. Rummy's resignation has simply spilled blood into the water amid the circling sharks.

He's going to announce that he's now Pelosi's personal manservant.
...'course, we all knew that already.

Cheney is resigning; Rumsfeld nominated to replace him...
.....
Dick, get outta Rummy's house!
;)

Let me guess. James Baker III is replacing Bolton. Dick Darman is getting a new cabinate post. Did I miss anyone?

Do you guys have a list of the "broken glass inactivists" that crawled over broken glass to stay home and teach the GOP a lesson? I think we ought to start a ping list to alert them to each precious jewel that they brought us like this, Rummy, immigration, etc.
I like that idea.....

I hope that this is not about Mr. Bolton. He is one of the VERY BEST people the U.S. has EVER sent to the U.N. Of course, with the Dems now in power in Washington maybe unloading Mr. Bolton will be his attempt at cutting his losses, but I hope not. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of any interrogations run by the Democrats. They are ruthless, they are not nice people. They want to destroy all things Republican. They are on their way.....

Stay strong, Mr. President. Remember who supported you. Judging from his actions, he must think it was Dhimmicrats, illegal aliens, and Moqtada al-Sadr.

Ladies and Gentlemen
I am sorry but I seem to have misplaced my balls. Somewhere along the time I nominated Harriet Miers they gone missing. I have no idea what its like to be a conservative without them and I am praying my dog didnt run off with them. That would have been his getting back at me for taking him to the chopping block.

I think Bush himself is resigning, turning the reins over to Dick.

Everyone's being silly. Tony Snow said there will be no surprises. Yeah...right about the same time the White House was saying that Rumsfeld wouldn't resign.

Bolton is toast. Pity, he is a good man.
My best guess is this is a 'reaching out to Democrats' from the administration to 'get along'.
