I thought the ACLU was non-partisan. I guess they are claiming they don't have a boat in this race since no Communists got elected but they'd be very very wrong.
Only if more of their tyrannical judges are seated on the bench.
This is going to be just like Vietnam. We will end up pulled out of of Iraq and leave it to civil war. I know a woman from Iraq that I pen pal with - she left there almost a year ago, because she doesn't believe that we would be able to starve off opinion at home and not leave them in the lurch.
Terrorists WILL be emboldened by this, and I fear for our entire country..........

The difference between this and Vietnam is that the Vietnamese Communist stayed home and celebrated after we left. Al-Qaeda and the Islamofascists have already attacked us on American soil on numerous occasions. Once we stop fighting them in Iraq, they'll be coming here to hammer us again just like they did on 9-11-01. The only difference is, next time, I'm not going to get upset and angry like I did after 9-11-01. Next time, I'm going be like the DemocRATS and just shrug and say, "We deserved it." I know others who feel the same way now. Especially after that "election" yesterday.
That'll be easy now that they have control. They don't even have to filibuster anymore.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- The American Civil Liberties Union Wednesday welcomed Donald Rumsfeld's resignation as U.S. defense secretary.
The ACLU in a statement called on the U.S. Congress to investigate what it called "the gross abuse of power committed under his (Rumsfeld's) watch.

they will try,but i think bush will use the veto and they won't be able to override it-if he doesn't veto gun control,he can go to hell
