Bush giving Rumsfeld the axe prior to the election probably would have led to the same result. It would have indicated that he believed the Iraq policy was a failure and given further talking points to the other side.
True
I don't know whether he is at fault for the Iraq situation or not . I just don't know
But I do know one thing as far as wars go this is a very minor league act compared to WWII--Korea--Vietnam
And the MSM has it built up as some kind of huge disaster
Same with the economy
American public has no conception what a real war footing is or real hard times are

All electronic voting systems have an audit trail. No paper ballot voting system has an audit trail.
Remember, all these systems require SECRET BALLOTS.

Can they bring back the 'lock-box' for Social Security taxes collected?

Here in Oklahoma our newest member of Congress, our Lt Governor Mary Fallin, led in her Congressional race all evening by large numbers and the MSM didn't call the race until almost all precincts were in and there was no way she was going to lose that race.
Yet in several races the media called them with no votes tallied which of course were all DemocRATs. I am going back to using DemocRATs all the time!

I would love to hear an explanation from a DUmmie regarding the supposed voter fraud we did during the last few elections. What happened? Did our evil conservative cabal suddenly stop using Diebold? Wekren't some of the races close enough that we "rethugs" could steal them? Not that I expect any of the libs to think seriously about the flaws in their conspiracy theories.

Dr. Coburn and all of his grassroots army of supporters like me are ready for battle against the DemocRATs starting today. Dr. Coburn won in Oklahoma because he wasn't afraid to stand up as a conservative and he has gone to D.C. and fulfilled his promise to Oklahoma to bring attention to pork spending and reign it in. We need more conservatives sent to D.C. with that message.

If you voted for Bush in 2004...then if you want to blame me..blame yourself.
I KNEW when I voted for him that he was for a guest worker program at the border...he never made any other claim.
NO ONE can blame him for that...
How about CONGRESS...Bush doesn't make laws.

LOL, didn't you hear, the Dow broke new records following the election!
I think this will be very interesting to watch. Many Dems won by campaigning on a more conservative platform, and with Pelosi as speaker this could be fun to watch!

There has been some worry expressed in the past fews hours over how the loss of the Senate would affect Supreme Court nomination(s) that are expected in the near future. This issue hasn't been discussed in great detail. Does anybody have some insight on what happens if Bush appointees are continuously turned down by the Senate, whether it be by committee or otherwise? Does the court continue to view cases with only eight on the bench?

There could still be a recount.
Allen has decided to concede the election. He is going to give a press conference tonight or tomorrow.
To: MineralMan
This electronic voting with no audit trail is wrong. We have the paper trail voting as well here in OK and it is the same in all 77 counties. We draw a line to connect two arrows, put the ballot in the machine which reads it, and if there is a recount, they can do one by hand if necessary. Electronic voting with no paper trail should be outlawed.
