Democrats Will Take Control of the Senate
Posted on 11/07/2006 10:21:07 PM PST by jern
Looking at the votes still to be counted in MO it is bad news for Talent. He still has half of St. Louis County still to go. MT and VA are toast. 51-49 Democrats

Yep they had there fare share too. But a pedophile amongst our ranks late in the election was just too much for them to swallow, had it been just typical stuff it would have been a blippit but this was a crime against a kid. Lets not forget nay, or abramoff or delay etc. Lets face it we came off as a freak show to voters.

At this point I support Rudy or McCain, our task in 08 is to keep the one stinkin branch of government that we control now, which is the White House, we have to make sure we get a candidate who can win

You know what, I don't know what it is, but you damn well better stop crying in your Cheerios and quit feeling sorry for yourself. That's for the sake of those young ones.
We have to make the best of the hand we've been dealt. If you're old enough to have the responsibility of taking care of all of those kids, you know that well enough.
If you can't find a silver lining, make one. That's the American way.

And I see it too much with boomers. Most boomers and older I know believe what they hear Katie, Brian and Charlie say.

The only thing I want to vomit about is higher taxes and having to foot the bill for the illegals!
The DUmmies want to vomit when Jon Carry loses, cause they are like groupies losing their "rock star" to a cowboy! At least we have real issues to be upset about!

Darn right. We deserve the government we elect. Unfortunately, our Troops do not. I feel so darn bad for them. We let them down.

.Ap had reported that some of the numbers were inverted. Here's a post from another freeper who has more information.
Allen said somethng about this in his statement - said the news services had "transposed" numbers and he was actually ahead by about 5000 votes, with a few districts still to be counted, but things had been shut down for the night.......

That's great, now had Bush and the GOP had actually MENTIONED this repeatedly from the beginning we probably would have had a better turn out. They let the Dem's and the media define the economy while we were silent or murmuring stay the course.

Don't count on Pemiscot for any help for Talent. Government cheeseheads are knee-deep all over the county. I think the results are late coming in because there's nobody left there that is capable of doing math. A stupid RAT stronghold.

The Jihadi's have won. They have proven they have a stronger will than America. They are now emboldened.
They didn't defeat us on the battle field they did it in the political arena. Republicans are to honest to make good politicians. How many have we had resign over the last 10 years?

Wait for the breakdown before you decide who did and didn't go to the polls.
If the base didn't vote in high enough numbers, then we'd best figure out why they didn't (and without DU-style whining about the stupid voters and all that.)
You'd better believe that the Dem victories have been built on the bedrock of their solid base turning out.
Any Rupublican who thinks that we can, today, win against Democrats without a fired up base is dreaming.
Why vote for a pale substitute moderate Republican when you can vote for the real thing -- a genu-wine Democrat?

Curt Weldon was no RINO.
Neither was Burns, or Allen.

4% unemployment and Dow over 11,000...
I know - it makes no sense. Corruption and immorality on both sides too, so that doesn't explain it fully. Had to be Iraq Iraq Iraq. Had to be. What else?
