Charles, I'm with ya, but how do you explain Randy Graf and J.D. Hayworth---conservative closed-border guys---who both went down to defeat?

If the White House does that, conservatives will go off the reservation for good.Where to? I'm looking for a new home.

We lost a lot. But how do you explain the conservative losses? Wasn't Ryun in KA a conservative? Hayworth? Graf? Santorum? Talent?

Both Randy Graf and J.D. Hayworth, who were strong on closing the borders, lost. But, Tancredo won.

Well, weren't a few of those tainted by Abramoff scandal?
It's hard to appear upright when your opponent successfully shows ties to disgraced lobbyists.

If either side were remotely right about what the country as a whole thinks, they'd have 65% to 80% mandates and would smash the other party A good, moderate approach

But, the republicans have brought it upon themselves That's the common knowledge. In reality, the republicans didn't go up against the democrat lies. They are still afraid to stir the pot and make trouble. As long as the dems yell louder and longer and republicans are afraid to mix it up for the truth - the republicans will lose again and again.
We are in for 2 years of threats, lies, mendacity and blame shifting. George Bush will be the anti-christ if republicans don't stand up for him. Just the name George Bush will be enough to destroy republican candidiates' chances with voters if we don't confront the main stream media and their ability to create false stereotypes and program the easily led electorate.

The House immigration bill was the one that had teeth. Then why did the "conservatives" in the party throw them out?

Not sure that the gentler approach--not including amnesty per se--is a bad idea if it's accompanied by tougher and consistent enforcement at time of entry. And Pence should probably come up with the new legislation.

Illegal immigration wasn't even an issue in this election, or any other election, for that matter. Hell, it has never been an issue with pseudo-conservative President Bush! Obviously, most Americans will *never* wake up to the fact that our country is quickly losing her identity. Either that or they just don't care.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform means open borders and a flood of 3rd world immigrants without any allegiance to the US, and the end of US sovereignty. On a similar note, our brand new Somali neighbors in Minnesota just sent America's first muslim to congress.
America's diversity is a rich tapestry...

What many fail to see is that legal, established people of Mexican origin are furious about the tide of illegals who undercut their wages and their opportunities.

Thanks. Saw this.
Just a little bit obvious what El Primero Lider is really all about now, isn't it?
What's funny (well, "tragicomic") is that there are still "those who refuse to see", who continue to be puzzled by his behavior.
The guy's a paid hit man. Sent to kill a nation.
Appears he succeeded.
Hope he spends the 30 pieces of silver on something fun.

If Bush pushes open borders we should all get behind his impeachment.
