I agree up to a point. I've always thought that the President does better when he defends his views, but where were the rest of the Republican pols? Half the time they were telling their voters how they differed with the President. A party that is divided against itself is a weak party, and that attitude is demoralizing. Too many times polititians from both sides read the pols and decide what side they are on only at that point. President Bush has been one who has avoided that attitude, and for me that makes him just about the most principled men in Washington.
I appreciate your thoughts on that and I'll agree too, to a point. When you don't protect the states against invastion though, it's tough to call a person principled, especially when they swore an oath to do so.
I'll let you all in on a little secret. GW would have lost last election if it weren't for the war. His adminstration botched that over time. His tax cuts were very good. Other than that NADA for a true conservative. So tomorrow we can hear RUSH talking with half of his brain in limbo telling us that this is a conservative nation. And we will see how many of these elected pols from this corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" will set in motion the whole amnesty that will destroy a nation w/o any revolution. Adios suckers.
