My county still has not posted. I am not going to bed until I see my dam vote.

That seemed odd to me, too. With only 40% or so reporting, why did Santorum concede?

Although when I look at county-by-county results, he looked down almost everywhere.

The U.S. does not like GWB or his Administration. George Allen is a moron, p-l-e-a-s-e.

I amazes me that the other choices are a million times worse.

Oh but he said macaka. You can't put a man in the oval office who has said macaka. Obviously a man with common decency is not the man for that job. We need a real sport in that position---Charlie Rangel for example. (gag)

Read through the thread closely. Several of the moderates and RINOs have already blamed real conservatives for the loss. And, like you, I voted Republican in the crucial races.

Unbeleivable interview with McCain on Fox News....

Does he really believe what he just said, or is he just coming to the realization that the 'Pubbies need a conservative to lead them to the golden land again?

McCain channeling Ronald Reagan - "get back to conservative principles" "stop flagrent spending", etc., etc., "Ronald Reagan".....

Wonder how Mike DeWine feels about being used as a useful tool in McCain's bid for the nomination.

I know for one we will be donating to the NRA-Ila starting this week....

we will need to build up traditional conservative PAC's so we have more power in two years.....

Steve, I think Iraq is about to drop into the win column. IMO it would be absolutely terrible if the democrats won control and it quickly happened. That would be one of my gravest sorrows over the loss.

For a guy who was so in tune on the war, Bush just hasn't been up to the task on other issues, IMO.

Just one thing... he had to be pried out of the White House with a crowbar to begin counter-attacking the left on the issue of Iraq. Unfortunately, I think it was already too late. He made a lot of headway, IMO, but you can't let the other side kick you for months at a time unanswered without it taking it's toll.

I disagree with you on the manufacturing jobs. Many on this thread are lamenting Ohio and talking about all sorts of "tactical" errors in that State.....That's not the entire reason for Ohio tonight....that State's economy is reeling with huge losses in manufacturing.

I'm not a protectionist, but many high paying jobs that do not require great skill are gone....again, those people are upset. Pointing out how the "new economy" will actually be better for them doesn't help much right now.

Yes but in order for this country to work, both sides must find common ground. Perhaps this is a start. How do you know he was a ticket puncher????

the House leadership was out in front from the beginning, saying the senate immigration bill was DOA.

WOW. Zero attacks on our soil since 9-11.

You could have said the same thing on 9/10/01, too.
