It's good to be an oil baron. Too bad I had to sell my Canadian energy trusts because of their stupid tax proposal. I've lost a lot of confidence in Canada as a good place to invest, but I'm still holding some oil sands and gas investments. Canada showed a complete disregard for the rights of energy investors. Just shows what a socialist mentality they have up there.

O'Relilly reported that a full 1/3 of illegals are child molesters, and also commit property crimes and visit violence on innocent people.

Now the Democrats will make sure that these people can vote. And they will loosen the laws against sexual predators and try to disarm law-abiding citizens.

I feel sick!

How could this have been allowed to happen?

Well, you're gonna see what lockstep voting can do. Enjoy it all. And don't bother coming around bitching about how horrible the Democrats are.

So true!

Does AZ have a rat legislature? Has Hayworth's CD district been re-apportioned in recent years, or was Tempe always part of it?

Non-stop 24/7 negative TV news coverage of the Iraq war and the Bush Administration. Total distortion of the WMD issue, but we will still take out Iran's nuclear sites if necessary. We can get a few southern Democrats to vote for strikes against Iran.

The AZ legislature is controlled by the GOP, and I think Tempe has always been in that district. That's why moveon.org targeted Hayworth with massive spending for Mitchell...because that district was winnable for the Rats. I saw very little advertising for the liberal lady who ran against Republican Rick Renzi in another Phoenix area district, and Renzi won.

"Blue Democrats" / "Conservative Democrats" was the real strategy that Rove / RNC severely underestimated and didn't fight effectively - they've given conservatives who usually vote Republican an excuse to vote for Dems or stay at home as perceiving no difference and/or put off by ethincs or lack of principles.

Dems didn't win, Republicans lost people this election and it will swing back soon, it's just hopefully they will not do much damage, particularly in GWOT.

WSJ poll today:
Did the Democrats win or did the Republicans lose?
The Democrats won. - 109 votes (18%)
The Republicans lost. - 495 votes (82%)
Total Votes : 604

Last time I checked (2 hours ago), the Arizona marriage amendment did NOT pass. Something like 52 to 48.

My country has gone crazy.

While I won't be going to the Oil Baron's Ball this year, at least I'm not on the dole.

The only good news is with all these Dems in power, maybe I can get some free stuff now, lol!

You have a good one, too. I will *not* be listening to any of it if I can help it. Too hard on my *constitution.*

You know what I'll queue up on the telly today, hmmmm? Season 3, Disc 2!

I'm not worried about tonight's elections. We now have the opportunity for the democrats to prove their worth, and they have to do it before a presidential election!

I hope you're right. It's certainly possible.
