"In today's world you need a big tent. All parts play a role and those who denegrate one part or another harm the greater good."

Yeah Kinda, but you got to get everyone attending the same circus.

A big tent with everyone doing their own thing got the Democrats out of power for awhile.

Iraq and Ohio Corruption and a pounding by the MSM got everyone in the DEMS big tent clamoring for the same show.

The forces of treason scored a win, it must be admitted.

The problem in Iraq isn't the casulaties, it's a sense of a lack of forward motion. Head into Iran and Syria, like we should have in 2003.

Before we get too excited........

LOL

I worked a 16 hour day, 10 of which were following the election, and now I'm trying to 'relax'. No one is going to get excited. I'm praying for not being too depressed at this point.

Why blame Rove. The sheeple elected a pervert to the Presidency twice.

NJ hasn't changed in decades, the march of the crooks.

NYers awakening to a massive new tax plan to fund multi-millions of dollars to NYC schools. Pataki fought that for his entire time in office.

Corruption at such a massive level will mean higher taxes across the country.

A very good point, Lady.

It's very disheartening.

So which is it? Did our base not show up or did our base vote for the other party?

The independents went democrat because of the misrepresentation of the Iraq war by the media.

To a Libertarian, a big government social conservatives are are no more appealing than a socialist democrats. Republicans are going to continue to lose a significant amount of the the libertarian vote until they either ease up on the social conservatism or the big government spending.

You think a RAT-controlled Senate is going to control spending? You ain't seen nothing yet!

Was that before or after the Montana SoS pulled the Yellowstone numbers from their website? There seems to be some problem going on there with the vote count.

And don't bother coming around bitching about how horrible the Democrats are.

Do you even read or do you just post by reflex?

Once again, I live in an area where I and other conservatives could vote GOP down the line. That is why the Georgia GOP is cleaning up while the national GOP is taking big hits.

It's really people like you that had your head buried in the sand that caused this debacle. Your group convinced the GOP that everything was perfect and that they could do whatever they wanted and they would still get elected.

Even now most of you refuse to face the fact that the GOP could have held on to both houses if they had campaigned and governed differently.

"You're right about the check-kiting scandal - remember how Dan Rostenkowski lost his seat because of it?"

Oh Yeah, could never forget old Roski! He made my job much easier when I was working local campaigns.

>>yellowstone - strong rep 92,000 reg voters 0 of 69 reporting

I wonder why CNN have it marked as white rather than red on their electoral map? Weird.

It's this close because we have a strongly republican state whose voters decided they don't like Burns anymore. Look at what a Montana Republican Congressman got:

82% of precincts reporting

Rehberg Rep* 174537 59% Winner
Lindeen Dem 114540 39%
Fellows Lib 5776 2%

You're right about the check-kiting scandal - remember how Dan Rostenkowski lost his seat because of it?

Maybe that had some effect here and there in the north, but it had nothing to do with the south moving to the GOP. That was all due to a rejection of Clinton.

Well with the democrats winning the elections, we aew soooo doomed when it comes to illigal immigration.

Lets look at the future. When I become an old man and the kids are full grown adults, the population is gonna be nothing but an overwhelming majority of spanish speaking only mexicans not just in LA but in far far north mid/east part of USA. The future of this country is NOT GOOD.

Because the most underrated reported subject on the election is the first thing that came out of Tony Snow's mouth was the comprehension immigration amnesty which will get through the pipe early in 2007.

I am breaking into tears because the liberals have a lot more money in order to create the preception. Something that happened with the 2005 california special elections.

Is it about time that we do something right locally?? Do we have to cover ourselves now?
