Bush 43 CUT taxes, unlike his dad. He isn't his dad. His tax CUTS prove that. Your comment/dig is just wacky.

[On the one hand, I am disgusted with the giddy, brain-dead liberals who will be dancing in the streets over their victory. On the other hand, I have a hard time feeling bad about all the lame Republicans getting booted out the door.]

I agree wholeheartedly with you on the "lame" Republicans getting the boot; let that be a constant reminder to the ones who remain that they must do the bidding of the base FIRST.

With regard to the dancing liberals: I've been watching proud, self-proclaimed liberals acting like fools for a long time as they spouted conspiracy theories all over the place, proclaimed their self-righteous condemnation and hatred for all things conservative and celebrated like drunken hooligans after a soccer match when they won any political victory regardless of the cost to their integrity of ethics. I've always had no problem entirely ignoring their behavior as irrelevant to the happiness in my own life simply because I know better. They think that I should be as depressed and angry as they are all the time and it pisses them off to know that I never am.

Nah, this won't have much effect on the stock market because it won't affect our economy over the next 12 months. Bush and Bernanke are still running the economy. I think this will just cause some rotation of capital out of defense and aerospace and into health care stocks.

"Not that most of the people of Iraq understand, or even care"

The problem is that they DO understand...

They understand that we left millions to die in Southeast Asia, and we left 180,000 IRAQI's to die in 1991, when it became politicly unpopular to continue our support...

They HEAR the leftist propoganda of our own American Representatives DAILY on the Arab news networks, as well as the propoganda of those that want to kill us, and say to themselves;

"If I pick a side, and America loses, I and my entire family, will be SLAUGHTERED"

And tonite just reinforces the fear of the average Iraqi (AND Afghani) that we will simply abandon them to thier fate...

You'll vote for McCain because McCain can stop a total GOP meltdown in 2008.

Laughable, voters want competence and vision. McCain offers neither. Try Rudy.

This all reminds me of '98, the first year I started lurking on FR. Optimism in spite of the polls then disbelief then resignation.

Also reminds me of my frustration with the mushy middle in the 80's and 90's.

I spent a lot of volunteer time on an NC Republican congressional campaign in '94. The takeover of the House then was surprising and invigorating. Hard to believe it's going back to the Dims, at least for 2 years.

Also reminds me of a tune Don Meredith would sing to close out MNF years back: Some gotta win, some gotta lose...Good time Charlie's got the blues

Good night, and as one freeper put it back in '98, someone turn out the lights because it's over.

We'll just get up tomorrow and start working on '08.

Agree 100%. Also, it would be the dumbest move to pick a huge fight with the new Senate after tonights debacle.

Time to re-group and win small first.

"Armey and Danforth have been two of the only Republicans I know of willing to oppose the Christian idiots publicly"

I take GREAT offense at this. I am one of these Christian "IDIOTS" you speak of. I am not the only one on this board. Get a clue... we are the reason Republicans have been in power the past decade.

Yep, exactly. We will mostly be out of Iraq by Christmas 2007.

The Iraqi Killing Fields begin January, 2008.

Rudy made commercials for Blackwell in Ohio when others wrote him off. Rudy campaigned all over the country, and was more welcome than the President, sad to say.

I hope he is our nominee. We have to win in 2008, or it will be 'Rats in total control.

"I know you have an enormous ego, but Miers withdrew because she was doing poorly in the Senate interviews. And Bush quickly nominated Alito without any input from you personally."

HoooHahhahaha. Miers withdrew because she was a klutz, as pointed out by conservatives! Bush would have ridden that dead horse into the ground if he hadn't been forced to back off.

As far as my ego goes, it is is but a pimple on the bloviating butt of your inflated self esteem! (trust me, I can escalate meaningless personal attacks as far as you want to go. Just don't try sliding little snide remarks in and not expect a response, gizmo.)

I am a Bushbot.

Bush is awesome.

Republicans are disloyal and deserve to lose.

As someone in Ohio I can vouch for the depraved idiocy of the old guard republicans.
