Well it was expected they would take the House. The important thing is that their majority stays low and that the Repubs keep the Senate.

Strickland beat Blackwell because the Dems threw 3 tons of crap at our guys hoping some would stick - some did - the rest was that the dems NEVER put forth any "plan" to do ANYTHING..they just used the "old song and dance" about government not caring, jobs etc.
Naturally, neither Strickland nor Brown had anything to say about what if anything they thought should be done with/about the war.
I consider the Dems, in this election, to have been "stealth candidates"....Running, but on nothing...
It aint the end of the world.
If worse comes to worse it will be fun to harp on the Dems while "they" do the heavy lifting.

Happens every election. They call the race early for a Demonrat based on biased exit polls and then have to use a spatula to remove the egg from their face a few hours later.
I don't see how FOX or any other network can declare some one a winner if less then 50 percents of votes have come in. in some instances even less then 30 percent
I allowed one "un-mute" just now on my TV - to hear the victory speech for Gov. Hunk (Perry) in TX.
Within seconds, the reporterette was saying he had won with "only 40% of the vote, which isn't a mandate" - (we had 4 people running) - back to mute. Y'all have fun. My body's too sick to take any of this. Good luck.

Disagree. Less than half the people who pulled the lever today ... especially on the Democrat side ... could give you a single cogent reason for their vote.

I'm certain Santorum will uphold his values, wherever he goes, and that could be in a Bush admin. position yet. He will continue to fight the good fight. He was pure class in his concession speech .. very noble. God bless him and his family.
