CNNs Jack Cafferty, who recently called Donald Rumsfeld a war criminal, chose Election Day to accuse the President of going to war in Iraq for oil and condoning torture. He also wondered if George Bush was "elected at all." A transcript of the November 7 "Cafferty File" segment is below:
4:15pm EDT
Wolf Blitzer: "Jack Cafferty is here with The Cafferty File. Jack?"
Jack Cafferty: "Thank you, Wolf. However todays election turns out, its a safe bet its going to be a good long while before anyone successfully pedals a neo-conservative agenda to the American electorate again. George Bush was elected twice by the thinnest of margins, if, in fact, he was elected at all. And, from the start, what we saw wasnt what we got. President Bush: I dont think our troops ought to be used for whats being called nation building.' Thats exactly what were doing in Iraq and its not working. Administration officials told us the war in Iraqs not about the oil. Three and a half years and 3000 American combat deaths later, were told its about the oil. The President pledged to restore honor and integrity to the Oval Office and then along came Abu Ghraib, secret prisons, outsourcing interrogations, NSA spying, torture and a decline in the reputation of this country worldwide that is unprecedented in our history. These midterm elections could be a tsunami of rejection for the Bush White House and its policies, but even if its not, its likely that the neo-conservative vision is toast, at least for a good long while. Heres the question: How much damage has the Bush administrations agenda done to the Republican Party in this country?"

I wish FR had a moratorium on CNN. (not aimed at you TH) I cannot STAND CNN's obviously Left, lying bias
A vote for a Republican is a vote to make CNN lose their minds. :P
As I recall, he defeated the watercress sandwich eating man of the people by three million votes. Of course, Cafferty probably still believes the 2004 exit polls, which were skewed because the poll takers were female graduate students in subjects like sociology who had a tendency to pick out those of like minds rather than conduct true scientific sampling.
The Cafferty File? Is sounds more like a bad catheter file.
He has seen the exit polls and turnout projections and lost what is left of his mind.
I saw that @#$%& report by Cafferty. First time I've turned on CNN in ages. I don't have FOX.
Problem is, I had to sew badges on my son's Webelo uniform for his first meeting tonight and it's hard to sew and Freep. LOL
I will not make the mistake of turning on CNN again. When our den meeting is over tonight, it's FR ONLY!
Someday Jack may get the credit for one of the final nails in the CNN coffin, he's waaaaaaaaay over the top.
Read it and weep, Jack.
thats what i was thinking. things sure are quiet. ;)
FR reaches thousands of people everyday and the more people understand the dangers of CNN and the rest of the MSM the safer we can make ourselves. Know thy enemy.
S.O.S......I'm stuck in a hotel room in Florida and they don't have FOX. CNN is giving me chest pains.
It's a FACT, you cannot change stupid!
Cafferty's mad because he's still losing his hair at the age of what, 73?
Probably the most surprising thing about the American involvement in Iraq will end up being the fact that we didn't ask for, or take, any of their crappy oil, even though we could have. And that they probably would have given it to us or sold it to us at a churchman's discount.
And especially because we really need it!
It will be seen as a sign of great restraint on our part.
Thats not right, is it? What a rabid one this one is...

CNN's Ted Turner, June 18, 2002:
"So who are the terrorists?
I would make a case that both sides are involved in terrorism."
Cafferty is a nasty angry old left wing SOB.
and Wolf should also ask about the Democrats who are beholden to the Hate America, Blame America First crowd. Did you ever stop and ask yourself when did we start losing Iraq... No let me answer we started the minute the Democrats made a decision to try and take the White Hose in 04, by slamming Bush with second guessing and monday morning QB'ing. You do remember the 04 election right those same Democrat leaders are in Congress today. They believe all that crap about world test and the UN should lead the charge etc, etc, If you haven't figured out by now that 3000 Americans paid the ultimate sacrifice on 911 to teach us a lesson and that lesson was your government failed to connect the dots... Failed to imagine the threat... failed to act... and then with all his self rightousness Bill Clinton had the nerve to wave a lying finger at Chris Wallace and say I tried but failed..... Exaclty you failed... Bush tried and has succeeded.. Where are the attacks... Why haven't we been hit if we are juicing up terrorists by being on the Offensive... Where is the reporting on this??.... The threat in Saddam Hussein is no more... ended nada...of course the after effects must be dealt with and we must win... Bush held this country together after 911 he is a true hero. Why isn't that discussed... Bush's Policies stopped this country from going bankrupt and saved it from future attack... You cannot change history... Remember the pundits after 911... how we were going to face multiple attacks, How the stock market would never recover, the travel industry, airlines are bankrupt... Bush and a GOP led Congress reversed everything... He stood for us in our time of need... I personally think America owes it to him to stand with him at his time of need... The hypnosis of the MSM machine in support of the left is Liberal PRAVDA in America... Hopefully the people will snap out of it in time.
Hey --
How 'bout we ALL -- and tell our non Freeper friends to -- stop watching CNN and hit their ratings even more...eh?
