My poll still had a line around 7:00 pm it could be an hour just to finish the people that were in line.

Is this just riverside or rest of California. Before I could vote this morning one of the poll workers had to go outside the front door a yell "THE POLL IS OPEN" and announce closing tonight when they close

ThomasThomas asks: "Is this just riverside or rest of California. "

Announcing that the poll is open is probably part of the process. This takes place after the head poll worker shows the empty ballot box to everyone in the polling place and then applies the seal to close the box.

When the closing time for voting arrives, everyone who is in line is permitted to continue to cast ballots, but anyone arriving after that instant is turned away.

Hey... It got better! I looked at the Pombo race when there were only 3000 votes int.
Hopefully it will keep turning in his favor... and Doolittle holds.

I'm glad to see Prop. 90 ahead and the parcel tax going down to defeat along with Prop. 87. Too bad about the bonds and Prop. 85 though.
