Staying home? Voting? Either way, look at this picture

Posted on 11/06/2006 8:09:34 PM PST by Mr. Silverback

For those who'll have trouble reading the fine print, I'll summarize. This is Chief Master Sergeant John Gebhardt, and the girl he's holding is the only survivor of a family methodically executed by terrorists in Iraq. They shot her in the head, too.

If the Dems win tomorrow...well, I'll let Freeper El Gato tell ya, as he put it in this thread:

Cut and run Kerry, and his buddy Bug Out Murtha would leave this little girl to the tender mercies of the human garbage that killed her family.

BTW, a USAF CMSgt is very high ranking NCO (E9). Equivalent to Army SgtMajor, Navy Master Chief Petty Officer, Marine Master Gunnery Sgt. It's a sure bet that he has plenty of other things to do and many responsibilities. But still he gives up his valuable sack time to calm this little girl, allowing her to get the rest she needs to speed her recovery.

Quite frankly, I think the Rats have given us millions of reasons to vote GOP this election, and there are a mess of positive reasons to vote for this House caucus, such as their fight against the McCain Amnesty Plus bill. But this one reason is enough. Pelosi and Reid will abandon the two people in this photo, leaving one to Al Qaeda and the other dazed on the floor after they pull the rug out for the second time in a little over 30 years. They will let John Murtha and John Kerry decide how this all ends. But we can stop them.

This one's a must win, ladies and gentlemen. It's broken glass time. Git R Done!

I am very excited to report in my own Chicago precinct a higher turnout than in 04' and after talking to precinct captains of both parties, it is favorable to our party. I am certain by the end of this night we will have our first republican cook county board President, the Stroger name has energized our base to rebel and repel! As we most likely will very well see Topinka unseating Blago and for this I praise God!

So I have done my civic duty, being a rare republican voter in this city for 35 years. I began to visit other precinct's and lemme tell you, it is happening everywhere on the NW side of Chicago. I can only pray it is enough to unseat Rahm!

Speaking of from today's Sun-Times:
Emanuel on "Meet the Press." Gets into it with Dole
http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2006/11/emanuel_on_meet_the_press_gets.html

Some of the comments varied on 'why' we turned out in massive numbers here today.
But the general consensus is...."We are fed up" with patronage, our troops being slammed, Kerry and to me the most telling is being told we were going to sit this one out and be outcasts for our party!

We had a referendum in my district of getting our troops out of Iraq. Of course I voted a resounding NO! This issue will be interesting to see the end result in a Democratic city.

Also, O'Bama is slowly turning into the 'fried' in the hot seat from the 'darling' he was a short time ago.
Obama: His real estate deal with the shady Rezko. '08 hopeful in Iowa again.
Monday will be a special homecoming for Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).
His image makers, used to playing offense--as in how many positive stories a day can they generate--will be playing defense since Obama got caught in a real estate deal with the shady Tony Rezko.
http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2006/11/obama_his_real_estate_deal_wit.html

So in prayers and closing for all the candidates across the country today, may we whoop butt again!

I tried voting straight GOP, but my electronic ballot kept on saying selecting the Democratic candidates. I heard about this happening the other way, but these electronic machines need to go.....

Thanks for the ping. I already voted, but I happen to live in one of the most "progessive" areas of the Maine coast... the Blue Hill peninsula.

No need for a reminder here. Voted bright and early (but, unlike the Donks, didn't vote often) ;-p

Thanks for the ping.

I live in NYC and voted today even though I know my vote won't matter, but it is a gift from God and so I treasure it.

How come you never answered my question about how many American lives you're willing to sacrifice to move the GOP to the right? How come you never answered my question about how many years you're willing to have the party of treason in power to move the GOP to the right? Scared, had a sudden diarrhea attack, cat got your tongue, Pelosi got your tongue, what?

WTH are you talking about?

Twoel rack's to your left, monkey boy.

Isn't "silverback" another name for king of the monkeys, or is it apes? I guess you can crawl back into your hole now. Blackbird.

You got something besides insults for me, Princess?

the questions were asked in post 107 of < href="http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1726856/posts?q=1&&page=101">this thread, and strangely, only one of you Murtha conservatives ever answered.

So tell me, how many people should we be willing to lose to move the GOP to the right? How many years should we let the Dems hold power in order to move the GOP to the right?

BTW, silverback is a gorilla who is advanced in age (but not yet old) who runs a troop of gorillas. They're the real kings of the jungle.

Now, are you going to take responsibility for the jig you're surely dancing now that the party of treason controls the House, or are you just going to fling insults?

You know, your "run to the battle" ping was what we desperately needed but to wax cinematically, our militia did not have a Benjamin Martin to rally us and enough pulled off the field to yield victory to the opposition.

Thank you for helping to fight the good fight and your asistance in pinging out critical items, my FRiend.
