My 8 year old is driving me batty about what time are we going to vote int he morning. Granted she has some typical 8yo reasons for it (she has to have all her homework done before we go, because we're baking and making candy when we get back) but she also does pay attention to political conversations that occur at the dinner table.

She knows we are voting for George Allen and Thelma Drake tomorrow and she knows that we can not discuss our votes once we go inside the building.........not bad for 8!!!! Of course mommy has always worked the polls in one way or another - she was actually with me when I was a poll greeter back in 1998, when she was only 4months old. I really wish I had a picture from that day, her stroller was literally invisible under all the campaign buttons everyone kept pinning on it :)

Aw, Gabz. How precious! I am smiling from ear to ear remembering the times I took my little ones with me. They all wanted an "I VOTED" sticker and the poll workers always gave one to each of them.

Must've been that massive crackdown on sex offenders last week, disenfranchised part of his base.

He lost a good portion of his base, unless they can vote from jail.

Mass suicide live on CNN Tuesday night!

The only thing missing this election cycle will be a tearful Dan Rather.

Senator Allen had a radio ad on during the Skins game on Sunday featuring Deacon Jones. Great ad! Go Allen.

The Gallup poll showing Webb with the big lead was taken Nov. 3-5 -- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Republicans do stuff with their families on weekends, or so the theory goes.

Why should I tell them how I voted?

Because exit polling is a key method for detecting vote tampering... it looks like Allen is going to lose now. But if the rats cheated (which seems pretty likely to me), well, then a good exit poll would help reveal it.

If you want to keep your vote private, you can politely decline. You don't have to be an a-hole about it.
