Another UCF Frat Under Investigation After Student Caught With Pants Down

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Another University of Central Florida fraternity is under investigation after a second alleged hazing incident at the school, Local 6 News has learned.

UCF police said they recently caught a student with his pants down in a hallway of the Health and Public Affairs building.

The student said it was related to a hazing incident involving the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity where pledges were being spanked inside a classroom, Local 6 News reported.

There is no word this weekend whether the fraternity will face any disciplinary action.

Last week, school officials investigating an apparent hazing ritual at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity in which pledges were found in diapers, fairy wings and women's panties told Local 6 News that several of them may have been sexually assaulted.

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity was suspended by its national office and has become the subject of a police investigation after three students were recently found so drunk that they had be rushed to a hospital.

Also, Local 6 News reported that depending on the blood-alcohol levels of three students transported to a hospital, the senior members of the fraternity could face criminal charges.

While most frats are on the up and up the lack of supervision and oversight by the national chapters, universities and parents is a bit troubling. If they are not careful they can expect some Congress type to step in and propose a government solution. These repeated instances of hazing that include alcohol overdoses, accidental deaths and even sexual assault and battery are rather serious.

You know, education -- if you make the most of it, you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well.

If you don't, you get stuck in a frat house.

I never understood hazing of pledges in this *gratuitous* (no utility to it) sense. Instead, first-years could be made to do the bulk of a frat's chores, etc. If a frat insists on "humiiliation" rituals, don't subject non-frat members to it. Do it in the frat house.

12 years of college down the drain.

"From this moment on, they're on double secret probation!"

While the really smart kids are getting their pants pulled down in public, those poor stupid kids are stuck with no-brain boring jobs like this.
