A friend of mine recently sent an email about democrats offering free flu shots at an early voting center. His comments reflected his disdain for democrats. He didn't realize that another friend he sent it to is a democrat, and his wife is a big liberal! The dem fired back a list (below) of Republican wrongdoers. Help me compile a staggering list for him as a response. In the first comment, I'll list the ones I thought of first. Have fun! Here's the email:

What I am attempting to do is list Republicans who did something wrong and DID THE RIGHT THING by resigning, and a list of Democrats that did no such thing after getting caught. Also, any Dem congressmen or party bigs under indictment or investigation. Here are my responses so far:

Here are a few facts.

(R) Newt Gingrich – had affair with aide – resigned
(R) Bob Livingstone – caught having affair (after Larry Flynt offered 1 million dollars for information on sexual indiscretions) – resigned
(R) Mark Foley – inappropriate IM’s with page – resigned

(D) Gary Stubbs – in 1983, had sexual relations with a page, age 17 – wasa cansured by the House and served until 1997
(D) Ted Kennedy – We all know what Teddy did. You or I would still be in prison had we done that – STILL serving in the US Senate
(D) Cynthia McKinney – assaulted Capitol policeman – claimed racism and was defeated in the primary this year.

(D) Harry Reid – under investigation(?) for dealings with Jack Abramoff, and not declaring profit on land he sold

Yuo will NEVER win an argument with a democrat no matter how many facts you come up with. Facts mean nothign to democrats- Corruption means NOTHING to democrats- they make no apologies to anyone at any time no matter how severe the case against them- it is unbridled corruption to the enth degree. - you're wasting your time- All you can say to the lib in response to their 'facts' against Republicans is "Yeah? So what- if you don't care that your party leaders are corrupt- then neither do I care that mine are" and leave it at that!

I think it might be a futile gesture to try to argue with a liberal...in their false sense of superiority (not to mention sneering arrogance), they will simply ignore any facts that are inconvenient for them and confer 'victim' status on any democrat politician whose crimes you point out.

In other words: don't waste your time. I don't believe a cure for BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) has been discovered yet.

There's an old cliche about fighting on other guy's turf. This whole debate is strategically designed to favor DemoncRATs despite their ethical shortcomings. You can't rationalize with people who want Barney Frank in charge of things. Instead, ask them what they'd have done about SALMAN PAK, one of Saddam's terrorist training camps with an airplane fueslage (ala 9/11), double decker bus (ala bombings in London) and train (ala attacks in Madrid).
