[history]
Democrats playing catch-up to Republicans in courting religious voters have found a secret weapon: nuns.
In Ohio and Michigan, Democrats have recruited nearly two dozen nuns in each state to work phone banks. In Ohio, the nuns have made calls for the campaign for governor of Representative Ted Strickland and the Senate campaign of Representative Sherrod Brown.

As a Roman Catholic I perceive nuns to be of two groups:
The first are usually ethnic (in Springfield Missouri that means Vietnamese), extremely dedicated and as good to the core as any human falling short of the Glory of The Lord can be!
The second group is made up of frustrated left wing lesbians who do GOTV calling for Democrats.
The good news is most Catholics know the difference.

So nuns are working to elect baby killers?A rather large proportion of nuns join up not because they feel a calling from God, or even feel particularly religious in the first place; they just want to devote themselves to "social causes", which of course means liberalism.
And while I do not personally know of any studies to back this up, I can't help but think of Rush Limbaugh's Undeniable Truth of Life #24 whenever I see any of these liberal nuns in action: "Feminism was established as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society." Being a nun seems to be more about "strength in numbers" to those types than anything else.
Why the Catholic Church allows them to get away with this sort of thing, I have no idea.

Why would the scumbags hire nuns? Wouldn't the scumbags simply hire women to say they're nuns?
Who could tell, over the phone?

So was the flying nun real?

NCAN, the left-wing activist group which represents 1.7% of the nuns in the USA, is not exactly an example of "strength in numbers."
They're more like the activist queers: a tiny minority with a large megaphone, a portable array of smoke & mirrors, and a permanent place in the rolodexes of the MSM.

Catholic Charities is heavily involved with the Democratic Socialists of America. They used to be listed on the DSA page of contributors and affiliates, along with various unions.

Being a Nun gives special untouchable political privilege. Watch what happens over the long run. Being a nun certainly does not give one a "Get Out Of Hell Free" card.

I would send a letter to the bishop in their diocese and let it be known these sisters are advocating the election of pro abortion candidates. Not to mention endangering the church's 501C-3 tax status.
