All this play-up on the dishonored preacher Haggard is what is called the slander of "False Lights" for it is used to impeach in the mind of the public all Republicans running for office at this time. It is played to place all conservatives and "moralists" in that same light as the one fallen preacher is seen. And it is a false light because there is no real link between his behaviour and that of any one elses. It is a slander.
Speaking of "air superiority" it is something the Dems have held since the Nixon v Kennedy debates. Thankfully, we all have our own air forces now, and are besting the Dems.
Powell and Armitage caused our President unnecessary grief. No excuse for their lousy actions at all. NONE!
There you go, talking me down off the ledge again, MID!!
LOL...
I never, even thought I would mute Brit Hume, but I did tonight, twice!! It makes me sad...and even though I know that even he bought into the Kerry win in 2004, early in the evening...I would have liked at least some positive points from him...
He was negative about the Saddam conviction, the carry blunder...oy!!
And, that idiot Chris Wallace has been watching Timmah Russert too much...he does't interview, he interrogates!
I have been ignoring the polls for a long time..and decided a while back..NOT to place any stock in them.
Therefore, I am doing the same with these polls that are supposedly showing the Reps doing better....
I don't think ANY of them are truly indicative of what will happen.
Now, MY INTUITION I have faith in. My intuition has told me for over a week that the Reps will keep both Houses...
AGHH! I hadn't considered that...and of course the gutless pubbies will go along..;(
50% mark. Yahoooooo.
I think that the 'rats haven't figured out how to cheat with the computer voting machines yet. An election with one vote per valid voter would result in far fewer 'rats in power IMHO.
If there is any 'rat complaining after the election I hope President Bush comes out immediately afterwards with his rebuttal, just as he did after Kerry's stupid statement on our military. I think that his entire presidency would have been different if he hadn't been so quiet about the accusations (false) about the "stolen" Florida election.
I am pretty much of a news junkie but I never even heard of this report. I wonder why the Baltimore Sun, etc. didn't report it/sarcasm.
Thank you. That was informative and entertaining.
I guess they're blaming this supposed fact on Haggard, now that Foley is FINALLY out of the news cycle... I never even heard of Haggard.
After six years of constantly bashing President Bush and Republicans, we are kidding ourselves if we fail to realize these attacks have had an impact to influence voters. The biggest concern is with independent voters who are susceptible to misleading articles and all the claims that have been made and not been rebutted or answered. Even if we respond there is rarely a time when the media/press portrays our side, which hurts us just as much.
Your comment seems to be true and I have to remind myself the military has many Clintonistas still in it who are not supporting us the same way conservative leadership would.
I can't and won't turn off my common sense meter as to Brit Hume. He has paid his dues and has the credibility to deserve our support. I would rather wait until after the election to make any derogative comment. Hume certainly has more inside information than we do even though he's not any more perfect than the rest of us.
I forgot.
Wait! Turn back!! Look out for the edge of the world!!! Don't step off!!!!
I too share your concerns about our country but also your pride in her. I am currently reading the book, Flag of our Fathers, by the son of one of the Marine flag raisers himself, and have just gotten through the horrible struggles they went through. Amazing! The bloodiest days for American warriors since Gettysburg. Where do we keep finding young men such as these?
I can only conclude that God does indeed keep watch over the United States of America. Woe to us (and hence one reason for my screen name, if you've ever wondered, it isn't just for Pat Frank's book) if we ever act so badly as to have Him turn His face from us! We can never let the rabid Left gain power over government. I know that in my bones.
As these babies are born, they are killed, in the most brutal way possible. I listened carefully to the testimony at the hearings thinking that there had to be a good medical reason why any one would do this. There was not.
And God Bless the United States of America!!!!!
We're right to proudly put on our money In God We Trust!
Vote Republican on Tuesday, folks! Your country needs your vote now as much as at anytime before. The wolves are howling, sensing victory. Historically, the Republicans, in their President's six year in office, should lose. But with God and prayer, all things are possible!!!!
Praise the Lord and pull the lever--GOP!!!
nevermind, I forget where I was going with that. Oh, it was founded in 1866.
