I too share your concerns about our country but also your pride in her. I am currently reading the book, Flag of our Fathers, by the son of one of the Marine flag raisers himself, and have just gotten through the horrible struggles they went through. Amazing! The bloodiest days for American warriors since Gettysburg. Where do we keep finding young men such as these?

I can only conclude that God does indeed keep watch over the United States of America. Woe to us (and hence one reason for my screen name, if you've ever wondered, it isn't just for Pat Frank's book) if we ever act so badly as to have Him turn His face from us! What amazes me is the Left's constant blindness as to the utter uselessness of their doctrines. The only explanation for their persistence is the desire to obtain power at any price, even for an inevitably short period. The experiences of those who suffered at the hands of Leftists in Russia etc. mean nothing to Pelosi and her claque.

I am always comforted by Madison's observation in Federalist 41:

A bad cause seldom fails to betray itself.
