SOUND FAMILIAR??
1993 State of the Union Address:
"Our nation needs a new direction. Tonight, I present to you our comprehensive plan to set our nation on a new course".
After that, the speech reads like a Socialism War Plan.

Sadaam sentenced to die but America not saferTime to air my continued complaint. I do not want to be made "safe." I am not a child. I want us to go out and kill the bad guys and if there is some risk to me in that, fine.

Does that apply to all cabinet positions because they are all appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate or is it just Secretary of State and Defense and does this apply whoever is in power?

I see the SEC. Defense as similar to SEC of State, they both serve at the pleasure of the President.I know Rummy already tendered his resignation twice but GW wants him to stay.
There seems to be no shortage or arm chair QB's that all know better than the generals on the ground in Iraq.
IMHO, managing the war in Iraq is like navigating through a mine field. You take a few steps forward achieving great accomplishments for the country of Iraq that are never reported, then a mine explodes and the left wants to cut and run, but there is no other course to be taken than winning in the WOT and our President knows as much.

Hmmm. Russert getting on both Reynolds and Rahm E. for deceptive ads. Rahm E. cites the non-partisan Annenberg School as saying Dem DNCC ads are less negative...

Great catch here Bahbah. The left never acknowledges any success we have in the WOT at all. It's all cut and run for them, no wonder they are the choice of Al Qaeda and Al Jazerra.

Oh, the better part of that was after part 1 of the interview, Hugh posted that he thought that Mark Halperin was very liberal.
Halperin then emailed Hugh of his outrage at being very liberal.
Part 2 of the interview was not friendly.
LOL
Struck a nerve, did he?

Switches briefly over to Fox News Sunday. The general consensus seems to be from Juan, W. Kristol, and Brit Hume that the Repub GOTV effort may not be enough...

Had to turn off FOX.
when Brit is the 1st up and even he leads with well they closed from 14pts to 6pts but that is just a margin of error thing, and this kerry thing gave the republicans a few days of offensive, but I don't think its going to matter in the individual elections...
Last I heard midterm elections were turnout driven, why would a stark reminder to 'disgruntled' republicans sitting it out, just HOW BAD it can be NOT matter much? Whats with this outright desire for it to go away?
I'd expect that from Kristol, but not Brit.

The Foley issue should have been dead a long time ago. Needless to say Buffalo Butt won't be asking Schmuckie about them lying in various states about the stemcell and other issues or sKerry, and, where Stretch Pelosi, Dingy Harry, Botox Babs, Leaky Leahy, Plugs Biden and a few other 'leaders' have been hiding.
Leaky popped up just long enough for this:
This is why we vote Tuesday...thank you Patrick Leahy.

A"Democratic-led judiciary committees would launch oversight hearings on the Justice Department's conduct in the war on terrorism, looking at everything from secret searches and wiretaps to how the FBI treats whistle blowers. Would-be Senate Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., says he also would hold hearings on abuse of terrorism detainees and on war profiteering."
