Dick Morris and David Bossie Unveil New “Wiretap” Ad: Dem Weakness in Fighting Terrorism
CItizens United ^ | Oct. 30, 2006 | Stephen Manfredi

Citizens United, a prominent Washington-based conservative grassroots advocacy organization and its affiliated Political Victory Fund are unveiling a major campaign advertisement targeting Democrats for their staunch opposition to the NSA Wiretap program which authorizes the interception of international communications of people with known links to terrorist groups.

The ad, which was produced by political strategist Dick Morris and Citizens United president David Bossie, premiered on FOX News Channel’s Hannity & Colmes and will be seen nationwide on FOX News Channel in the days before the November 7 th mid-term elections.

“A Democratic Congress would jeopardize our national security and reverse real progress in the Republican War on Terror. The Democrats are more interested in protecting the rights of terrorists than American families,” said David Bossie.

The ad features a dramatized conversation between two terrorists planning a lethal terrorist attack. The conversation is disconnected by Democrats. The script reads:

“This terrorist wiretap has been disconnected by a Democratic controlled Congress. “

“If the Democrats win, the NSA won’t be able to listen as terrorists plot to attack.”

“This year, vote like your life depends on it. Because it does.”

Are we supposed to believe that this former Clinton advisor is now a Republican, or what?

I heard them say that the absentee and early voting in Tennessee has been "unprecedented", which, in their minds, means a DEM win...

GAG ME

I think the MSM says this stuff to make the GOP voters so dispirited..they think that if they vote it won't matter anyway...and stay home.

NEVER confuse Dick Morris with a conservative, or even a Republican...he just has it out for the Clintons.

He DOES predict a Hillary win in 2008 for POTUS, though.

I can't stand Novak because he always seems to be talking through a mouthful of potato chips.

"I just saw that creep Robert Novak on Fox News...and HE said that in the last few days, the DEMS have gotten the momentum...and that he predicts that they will gain even MORE House seats than he previously predicted."

Novak predicts doom and gloom for the GOP every election cycle. Best thing is to just ignore him.

The early voting was heaviest in Republican East Tennessee!

That is good to know...

I don't know if you watch Fox News or not....but, yesterday, during Sheppy's afternoon show..and again last night, 2 times...he was VERY offensive to me about the way he was describing the election in Tennessee.

He was talking with a "fake" southern drawl...and was characterizing that state and area of the country as just barely disguised racist territory...

He was only semi-polite to Corker...but, gave Harold Ford Jr....uninterrupted time to campaign...

I was very angry...but, he is the Fox "rock star", so he can get away with anything.

I don't know what Monday brings, but I've got a good idea about the day after.

It brings on the start of the 2008 Presidential sweepstakes and campaign. A billion dollars to be spent and who is going to claim them?

I wish the RNC would run a ad showing a very proud Harry Reid proclaiming the death of the Patriot Act. That would make a killer ad.

They are full of crap! Everbody in Tennessee votes early. They don't know who voted for who. My husband and I went and voted REPUBLICAN right after we first saw Jon Carry on the news spewing his garbage. I bet alot of folks did.

The 69%/80% aren't predictions of turnout; they represent (if true) the Republicans and Dems who say they will support their party in this election. I read somewhere that this is a first, that it is usually Rs who are more likely, if they vote, to vote their party.
