No, they go out to vote Wednesday morning (anybody knows that), they'll start their wailing Wednesday afternoon.

This is Hugh Hewitt's blog, but the post is by Dean Barnett.

I think they are right. Some of the latest polls are showing some very interesting changes. McGavick has pulled within 4 points of Cantwell in Washington State in the latest Zogby poll. This hasn't been posted to Real Clear Politics. Dewine has closed to within 2 percentage points and Backwell has closed to within single digits. There is definently GOP momentum going into the home stretch. I think Steele is going to beat Cardin handily. This election is looking good.

Thanks for posting this . . .

But the posting was by Dean Barnett.

Hewitt indicated above that he is not quite that totally sure of the results.

Just like Nancy Pelosi, I'm thinking about putting an "amber alert" out on some of my lib friends - they've been strangely silent and out of sight this week. Not in my face & gloating like they were before the 2004 election when Kerry was supposed to win.

I hope this is the election that shuts them up once and for all.

Hewitt was right the last time around. A month ago things didn't look so good but I'm a lot more optimistic now.

..I agree with his analysis

Polls are increasingly becoming impossible get an accurate read with, therefore becoming irrelevant.

AND the national media "misunderestimates" the power of the GOTV organization in places like Ohio, etc...

Well, I've been among those here that has maintained for all this time that we would be fine in both houses of Congress.

So, yes, I agree with him. Remember, even Newsweek's poll admitted oversampling Democrats by 11 points, and others are over 14 points of Democrat "error" left uncompensated for.

I am looking forward to this week. The liberals will GO NUTS AT THEIR LOSS!

Hugh Hewitt is the real deal and not a joker by any stretch. If he feels optimistic, that's good enough for me.

I recall the last election and how the polls had Bush behind. Even on election day, the exit polls had Bush losing.

Heck, Susan Estrich was sober and giddy.
Then....the results started coming in.

The people voted and the the people elected

GEORGE BUSH and the REPUBLICAN PARTY!

I have been listening to Hugh on the web for a month or so.

He may be the most underrated host at the moment. While he is an amateur at this political prognosticating thing, but in his interviews, he has pulled much out of his guest that flies in the face on conventional wisdom along with his own gut feel and wisdom, if so he may be spot on.

Heck, if you give the incumbent GOP candidates 3% because they are incumbents and another 2 or 3 for the GOP GOTV effort, they lame stream polls are off BIG-TIME.

Next cycle? put the money in GOTV and don't hire Charlie Cook, he will be so passe...

If we relied on polls, even EXIT polls, and pundits, we'd have President Kerry in the WH now!!! How quickly we forgot...

I think God gave is a gift in the form of John Kerry. The GOP base is now fully reminded of what the Liberals are. The rest is up to us.
