I'm a cadet at West Point, and tonight at our game against the Air Force Academy, a big sign emerged, and it was shown to the Corps of Cadets, who cheered wildly, and then shown to the Air Force cadets, who also cheered.

If there's anyone in the country who hasn't figured out by now that Lurch is one of the most loathsome simpering twits in politics, then they are as hopeless as Jon Cary.

Of course, we have to be ready for all the Demagogues who will try to rewrite the history of this episode - that's one of their favorite tactics, as with all of the "Swift Boat" stuff . Even when they lose the initial round badly, they will spend years trying to rewrite the history until hardly anyone seems to know anymore what actually happened.

In this case, Thomas Friedman and others have already started, by portrarying the controversy as some kind of "Karl Rove dirty trick" rather than allowing what Kerry actually said to be the focus of discussion.

They mentioned during the game that Navy had won the trophy. Not arguing with you, just relaying what I heard on ESPN. Since the Army/Navy game hasn't been played yet, I though it was an odd thing to say.
