I said nothing when John Kerry ran for president, even though I was once stationed with a person who was on the Coast Guard patrol boat that John Kerry was treated, after one of his so-called combat wounds. This person said that he had received worse paper cuts while filing, than the wound that John Kerry had received. The "punchline" of the sea story was that the "person who was treated" had gone on to run for congress and, at the time, was the Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts....
Below is the email that I sent to John Kerry. I just want someone, beyond his "staffers" to see my email. I apologize for the vulgarity. John makes me forget about my "Christian side" and brings out my "fighting sailor" side. I was told that I should've "toned down" the email. I did: I cut out the part about him choosing to lay naked in a coffin, recanting his sexual experiences, in a secret building on the Yale campus in hopes of becoming president; where I naively chose to help stop the influx of illegal narcotics into this nation, that I've come to understand, is a resultant consequence of his family's fortune.
John,
I’m writing on behalf of myself, as well as my brother, who is currently serving in Iraq (as you would say) “terrorizing women and children”. He would write you also, but he's a little preoccupied that he may have murder charges levied against him by our government if he offends someone over there. As you know from your vast military background, politically-correct war is hell!
Since I honorably served my country for 21 years, I would like to take the opportunity to offer you an “addendum” to your recent comments that you may feel free to use in future speeches to students: please tell them that if they “don’t study, don’t do well in school” (are basically uneducated as you so unabashedly and unapologetically infer), they might just end up like I did: in the U.S. Coast Guard, STUCK serving in the state that you so “admirably” represent. They may also end-up STUCK providing a security zone, at great taxpayer expense, so that you can wind surf for the cameras. Or STUCK crewing on a military passenger jet or search-and-rescue helo that takes you and your friend, Ted to play golf on Martha’s Vineyard. Or STUCK away from their families as part of an around-the-clock flotilla that keeps the “prying eyes of the media” away from you and Ted while you relax for the weekend at a beachfront estate. Or STUCK providing fuel for your yacht (once again at taxpayer expense) because you and your crew are more concerned with pate de fois gras than diesel fuel. Or STUCK coming to your rescue because you don’t have the sense to listen to a weather report. (I’m not quite sure how someone with your “vast naval experience” can be so ignorant of basic seamanship.) Don’t forget to tell them what a condescending, pompous ass you’re going to be to those “uneducated” Coast Guardsmen when they’re STUCK coming aboard your yacht to help you. On second thought, don’t worry about that: they may already know.
My brother and I didn’t come from a family that made a fortune like yours (which to no surprise to me, was in the opium trade). My grandparents were Mississippi sharecroppers. My father was a carpenter. Call me crazy, but if it was good enough for Christ, it’s good enough for me. (You remember Christ, don’t you? He’s the One that you publicly “invoke” when running for election and curse when you have to wait on a ski lift or a good table in a restaurant). We didn’t have an estate in France. We had a garage in the backyard. We didn’t go to an elite boarding school. We got a board across our ass, back behind that garage when we acted like idiots….a priceless education that YOU are sorely in need of and your daddy should’ve given you. My brother and I are simple folks….I’m certain that in your usual smug way, you would call us “simpletons”. However, in all our “simplicity”, neither of us has fraudulently exaggerated injuries to manipulate our way out of the service and make us look like heroes for our future political careers. Neither of us has committed treasonous acts, such that you did with the North Vietnamese in Paris, while you were still attached to the Navy. We also have not lied about our military service experiences before the Senate to further a socialist agenda and future political career. Uneducated as we both are, we CAN, however, properly pronounce “Genghis Khan”.
This is the part where I should preach to you about how the “little people” make your pampered, elitist life possible. It would be a complete and utter waste of time because you don’t care. You never have and you never will. I just thank YOUR part-time partner, Jesus that there are enough “uneducated people” to have kept you from being in charge of our country. One last thing John: when your denigration of people comes to light; when your true feelings (that you pawn off as a “joke gone bad”) are revealed, just keep in mind that “us dumb people” see you for who you truly are: a smarmy, patrician sycophant. We're also smart enough to see that you really didn't apologize FOR WHAT YOU SAID....you apologized if anyone was OFFENDED at what you said. BIG difference in the two - you know it - and "us dumb people" REALLY know it. One of them involves contrition, which is definitely not in your constitution.
May I also suggest that the next time you speak to a veterans’ organization, (which I would be damned to attend) you stand up straight, salute smartly and say, “Asshole reporting for duty”.

Well said. Kerry is the quintessential narcissist. I have personally seen him treat his staff like dogs. He truly believes that he is somehow superior to the rest of us. That would be barely OK if he was, but here is this 'C' student who could only get into BC Law by pulling strings, who never had a real job, screwed up the political hack jobs he did have, who hosed his shipmates, trying to tell a bunch of college students to study hard- something he never did - or else they would end up like him having to be a gigalo. We owe the Swifties and 51% of the population a big thank you for keeping this POS from becoming the POTUS.
Jon Scarry was one of many one note samba boys that showed up on board ship to hang the ribbons and punch tickets before heading back home to the hamptons. Smarmy patricians all of them. Nose aloft to make sure they don't pick up the smell of the crap they are dropping all over the floor. Just once it would be grand to see one of these paper mache tin pot warriors ripped from their $400 loafers and hung up on the nearest lamppost for treason.

I'm native Texan but my dear late Mom was Mississippian through and through and I just got back from visiting with that side of the family. I love it when Mississippians get on a roll. I served a hitch in the Navy too, what a deal. Looking forward to your next flaming missive. BTW, nothing needed to be toned down a'tall, we need more folks writing with such passion...
