From Michael Malkin's blog: Hoekstra's response to NYT admitting Saddam was apparently a very dangerous man.
And in case you were wondering, Santorum, Roberts and Hoekstra always insisted that nothing that could possibly compromise national security should be posted.

Republicans apparently don't know how to hold major press conferences. They never do.
It's this sort of avoidance that contributes to costing Pub seats, IMO. There are ways to highlight the RATS treason or expose newsroom perfidy such as this episode without being sleazy.
But the Pubs overall are spineless about going up against the media.
Good for Hoekstra, BTW.
Thanks. Jest FReepin'.
The left has been screaming for months for the DNI to release these documents, and when these documents don't fit their template, they get mad.
It's just my opinion but I think the MSM is intentionally ignoring the NYTs story because they see the storm of counter-point coming if they bring it up. They had intended to make a big deal of it but the "blogosphere" grabbed it off of Drudge last night and forwarned the right-wing punditssphere.
If the MSM doesn't try to make something out of it there isn't anything to counter.
This information has been in the public domain from the DNI website for months (early as April), the Drive-By-Media just didn't bother to cover it. It's not in their nature to highlight something that puts the GOP, Conservatives, or President Bush in a positive light.
Bill Clinton and CIA Gave Iranians Blueprint for Nuclear Bomb
Iran - CIA 'gave bomb plan to Tehran' (Clinton Legacy - Nuclear weapons)
This function will revert back to DCAA where it belongs.
Why isn't this being plastered all OVER the news? Thanks for the ping..
Don't forget, the Dems wanted "disclosure AND oversight" and everything else possible for their "right to leak" policy.
Good on ya, Pete! I'm proud you're my Rep.
I listened to an exchange on Fox News about this...and it was all "tsk, tks, boy the the Bush Admin screw up..and put our national security at risk"...
NOT ONE WORD...about "aha, Bush was right all along"!!
Republicans will never learn, it seems, how to be out in front of a story. Color me disgusted with FNC.
It would be NICE if at least the Fox Sunday show would invite Hoekstra and Santorum on to discuss this...
Lets see what Gibson and Britt have to say!
I'm telling you...my nerves are SHOT! LOL:) I sure hope Tony is taking a long look at all this and deciding how to present it ASAP!
I think it will really be a shame if Gibson and Brit's show ignore the OBVIOUS...
I just don't get it...
That is disturbing. Listening to Hannity right now. He will have stuff to say on Fox tonight I am sure!!
"I recall that Negroponte was for the release."
I recall differently. I am quite sure Negroponte was very reluctant to make the release. I don't have a quick link. Maybe someone else has a link that would clarify.
BTW...do you want to know something sad???
I didn't know until today that Teddy Kennedy is up for re-election THIS year!!
Has there been ONE story during the last year about that??
