I'm my own man, I'm going to be the man I've been in the Congress, I'll vote to find new energy path, health ins for birth to 18, more money for NCLB, faith defines my politics. Eliminate taxes on the first 10 grand, except for millioniares, I was pro-choice at one time. After I saw something a doc showed me in Memphis, I changed my abortion stance. I'll vote my conscious.

The Right to Life ad must really be impacting him...he made it clear he was pro-life, changed his mind AFTER a Memphis doctor showed him what PBA was like. Said his epiphany on abortion came about 3 years ago..well JUNIOR your change of heart is a out right LIE in 2006 you were still voting 78% for Planned Parenthood.

I believe that, like I believe there is life on Mars, or there is ocean front property to be had in AZ.Said he was PRO-2nd amendment, a tax cutter, not a tax hiker. JUNIOR you are a FRAUD!

JUNIOR kept saying something about the need to forgive, kept insisting he's changed, he's for tax cuts, he's now pro-life, really kept yammering on about his 'faith'.

Here's a Dem vs Republican sample for all to think about.

On my wife's side of the family there are about 15 people who have had their hand out waiting for someone to fill it as long as I've known them. NOT ONE will take the time to vote or if asked even know when to vote. If they did know maybe 5 would make the effort and only if someone was willing to chip in for gas. Almost all of them are home during the day with some sort of disability, depression etc... anything to make it so they don't have to go to work and get screwed by the employer and all the taxes that damned employer takes from their check. Yes! They actually believe its the employer. (Point is they're home and they talk to pollsters)
In our house of republicans and independents, and the ones I know, we've either already voted or will be there on the 7th.
Most of us hang up on pollsters by the way.

When All Looks Bright

Life looks rosy to many people.   Their work is fulfilling. The house or apartment doesn’t need repair. Their bank account shows a surplus. Family members are enjoying good health. Friends are loyal.

Good times, however, can be dangerous. The comforts and pleasures of this world can become so important that we give God little or no place in our thoughts. Prosperity can quickly lead to complacency.

God knew this would happen to His people when they entered the Promised Land. So He warned them not to forget the source of their blessings (Deut. 6:12). He instructed them:

• Fear the Lord (v.13).
• Serve Him (v.13).
• Do not go after other gods (v.14).
• Do not tempt the Lord (v.16).
• Keep the commandments (v.17).
• Do what is right and good (v.18).

Historians tell us that religious fervor usually declines during prosperous times. But if we will learn from Israel’s experience and heed the Lord’s instruction, this need not happen to us.

Let’s be careful that we do not forget the Lord—especially when all looks bright! —Herbert Vander Lugt
